Hi,

This Morning I deleted all my profiles on my emummc. Afterwards I made new profiles and tried to start a game. Now it seems that all my saves I had for that game and rest of games are not linked anymore. Is there a way to re-link all my saves to my new profiles(choose exactly same names) on my emummc? So for the record I didn't delete any saves yet, only removed profiles and made new profiles. And it looks to me that DBI is showing me my old saves if I go and check in DBI app for saves.

Is there a way to get the saves I find in DBI to link to my new profiles via an easy way? I will attach the DBI pic which shows the saves.

Thanks in advance.

Backup old save and restore them to new profiles. No relink allowed
How do I restore them to the new profile? So first I just copy all files from dbi saves? And in which folder must the copied files then come? Or isn't it as simple as copy/paste in different folder somewhere?

Sorry for all questions, I normally don't care about saves, but now my son his saves are gone and he won't be that happy lol. But if it wouldn't be that straight forward, then he just can play again from zero, think its actually only one game which he really cares about his saves.

im having a bit of trouble with my savegames, my sd card got corrupted beyond save, couldnt boot and no jk save games, so i had to use nxnandmanager to recover my save games from sd card, i set a new emmumc, could i put those files directly in the dbi backup folder and then restoring them on the switch??

Did you backup your save?

Well if the nand backup wasn't your emunand then probably it is no use.

yeah, actually i think it is from emunand, as i dont have any of those games in sysnand, the thing is theyre in this format:

I think you need to play the games once before you can restore a save.
The folder structure must match exactly what dbi expects, I don't use dbi personally but in my experience all save managers use a slightly different folder structure, so if it doesn't work right away, try to make a save backup of an installed game and compare the folder structure, and change the folder structure of the recovered saves to match.

Thank you, would try if the nxnandmanager and jksv doesn't work

With DBI you do not need to play games, also you do not need any folder structure. Just put all your raw save files (0000...) to folder configured as backup in DBI and just restore it. If you have the same users on console, DBI just restore. If you don't then DBI asks for which user saves should be restored.

can i backup dbi activity log data?

Hi!
I have an empty console and dbi backup of 100+ games.
Can I just restore the saves? or do I need to install all these games first and only then make a restore?

duckbill (author of DBI) has mentioned above that you do not need to play games before a save can be restored. That pretty much means you can restore the saves right away, and install your games later as you see fit.

Thank you!
I plan to restore saves in the semi-stock.
Then activate the subscription and the saves will be uploaded to the cloud immediately.
I hope it works.
