Nice they have cross-play, but its disappointing to not be coming to PC. That said, I have to wonder about the Android / mobile version, as I've had great frustration with some of them ; likewise, when SquareEnix Android/iOS ports come to PC they're often hobbled by their mobile lineage and not really improved when (and if) they're moved over. I'd rather see the title get the kind of PC focused QA the port deserves.
Lots of ostensibly Japanese developed/related titles (including Nintendo's Fire Emblem Heroes ; pity its a gatcha-type instead of releasing proper Fire Emblem titles there!) seem to have an extremely frustrating language option - notably using Android's locale to set the language exclusively. That is to say, if your device is set to the US, the game will run with English text/subtitles/UI + English audio. Japanese audio IS present in the game's files, as is evidenced by switching the Android locale to Japan (which affects your Android OS globally, among other issues) allows you to play the game with JP audio, but it also sets text/subtitles/UI to JP as well! There are no options to manually switch voice or text languages independently and just for the game itself, which is incredibly frustrating. A very simple toggle built into the app to choose those options independently and locally would have made things so much easier, but lacking them is the level of quality I've begun to expect from many (but not all) mobile ports - especially those farmed out to a 3rd party studio like DotEmu or whatnot.
I can remember how this exact experience with Final Fantasy IV (remake 3D version based on 3DS) on Android prompted me to mess around with various dev tools seeking a way around it, only to find that other titles like the more recent Fire Emblem Heroes also use this low-effort-high-frustration localization option too! This also impacted the audio options of Final Fantasy IV when it came to PC, as it was a port made from the Android version, though thankfully the PC file format was more accessible and an "undub" could be created after sometime and effort - though it should not have been required!
I can remember playing Crystal Chronicles from ages ago and a remaster could be a worthwhile return; lets hope it is made with quality and ideally, released for PC in addition to other platforms.
