The newest entry in the Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles series is subtitled Echoes of Time. Apparently, it's having a simultaneous release for both the Wii and DS AS THE EXACT SAME GAME! [IMG] Here are some new screens from the DS version:

As you can see, this uses the same engine as last year's Rings of Fate. I had mixed feelings about ROF. It was short and had a lackluster single player mode. It shined on multiplayer. We'll see what they can do for this new one.

This game is scheduled to be released January 29 in Japan. Only a few weeks away!

No US date has been set yet, but it has been confirmed for a release. The NA teaser site was launched today:

Well we won't be seeing much graphical improvements, but I hope the multiplayer mode is as good as ROF. I've never finished the actual story for the story mode. Only multiplayer...

Well the only difference is that FFCC:EoT is that you can go on wifi with people doing missions and quests.

In all honesty, the graphics in the first game were really great. I don't see much of a need to improve there. And @psycoblaster: the single player mode wasn't very good. It was short, easy, and the story wasn't so great. Those voice actors really got on my nerves too.

Those are actually screens from the Wii version too.. [IMG]

A stupid move IMO, the DS game might be good, but I don't see why anyone would want to play that on the Wii!

Just a heads up, people playing the game on the Wii can play on WiFi with those playing the game on the DS. So Wii and DS users can play with one another over wifi.
