If I'm correct, there should be a text simulator to see how text would look in game without the game, or a 3DS. If you can translate, the team would greatly appreciate it.

there is no need, as both DQ7 and 8 were confirmed at Nintendo Direct some days 12thNov , both will come next year so hyped man,

but since DQMJ titles have very low chances , i would wish someone would at least Translate the menus!

Well this i could easily achieve. If you have a way to BrainDump the game, do it then send me a picture of the root folder and i can go from there.
Is there a particular one that would be best? Depending on the cost i wouldn't mind picking it up for "Science"

Sorry to bother, just cant find a how to anywhere. I have the rom patcher and I have the .3dS IF special edition clean rom, how exactly do I patch this myself? I am currently using a .CIA that was build with the translation however icon.bin was used and thus I cannot use the DLC.

I ran the rom patcher and it asks for XORPADs?

Thanks. Im running RXTOOLS and have no issues playing this, however the source I retrieved the game from says "DLC" works but it doesnt for me, it doesn't detect it on SD card. I noticed a whole guide using NTR firmware to play the DLC. Seems drastic to do all that for DLC. I just wonder if perhaps I am doing something wrong. Is the DLC "just" the 3rd path or is there more to the DLC? I just want to know if its worth the trouble steps to play it. Thanks in advance is anyone knows.

EDIT: Also I noticed it keeps stating there is an update available. Can I safely apply this to a translated rom without an issue? I'd like to play online battles, or even test if it will work. I am using a .CIA version of the game.

The team tries to make a patcher for the dlc's but for now they focus on finishing the Main-Game.

You can update the Game, don't worry.
Just update it to the newest version and play online
I'm doing the same.

I'm assuming that your 3DS and EmuNAND is not Japanese. The best way to use the DLC, is to use Gateway OR create a Japanese EmuNAND. You can learn how to do that here. There is an easier way to region change your EmuNAND using rxTools, but I can't find the guide at this time since I'm currently a bit busy.

You guys have been really helpful thanks. I actually do have a Gateway card but switched to custom firmware because it seems more robust at this point. If I were to use Gateway and launch the DLC it should work then, since they use the same EMUNAND correct? I think I will give that a whirl. Thanks everyone. (and dungeon crawler)
