A friend of mine also bought MK8, but he wants to give me the promo code. (dont worry, i still need to pay him :P)

I used my MK8 promo code, and got Zelda WindWaker HD. If i want to use the code of my friend, i need to make a new NNID account? And a new Club Nintendo account?

If that is true, can i play the free game with my main account?

you need to make a new Nintendo Club account. a new NNID is not needed. I know as I had a friend of mine give me his MK8 PIN code so I could get a second promo game. I used mine for Pikmin 3 and my friend's for NSMB U.

steps: (this applies the the European version of Club Nintendo also)
create new Club Nintendo account
register MK8 using the new Club Nintendo account
you will be prompted to choose a promo game, pick one
when you are done, you will get a eShop download code that you can use on your Wii U.

you do not need to change the Club Nintendo account the Wii U is tied to.

Thanks for your answer. If i want to make a new account on Club Nintendo, i first need to enter the MK8 code. So hopefully it all works well :D

Edit : Works fine, got NSMBU for 17.50 now :D

@SylverReZ, I dislike the kind of drm where you have to play single player games online all the time bc of some verification bs

@Xdqwerty, Don't use games that have Easy Anti-Cheat as its been exploited many times.

@SylverReZ, I also heard one of the Prince of Persia games was so unfinished that it required the "24/7 online" drm so a puzzle could be done and the game could be finished. And that when the Ubisoft servers were closed the (cracked) game was impossible to finish or something like that
  • SylverReZ @ SylverReZ:
@Xdqwerty, That's extra scummy. Ubisoft nowadays ship out incomplete games like Skull and Bones which was being worked on for nearly a decade now.

@SylverReZ, i think they have been doing that since late 2000s

Either that or their old games were unfinished aswell but we can't notice it

I like that games can be fixed after the fact, hate that it's being abused via beta tests... And DLC... I was a 7800 owner back in the day and loved Impossible Mission, turns out I couldn't beat it because it was actually impossible lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
I never knew about it at the time but a fixed version was available but you had to mail in your broken copy lol
  • Psionic Roshambo @ Psionic Roshambo:
So that version is semi rare
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@Psionic Roshambo, I have a rom of the ds version of impossible mission
