ROM Hack Emunand conversion?

Does there exist or is it simple to create software which is capable of converting between different varieties of emunand, such as CFW, Gateway, etc?
Even if a program does not exist, I would appreciate it greatly if a set or instructions for manual conversion or a description of the differences between formats such as those used by Palantine CFW and Gateway emunand were provided.
I'd find any kind of information to be very useful so thanks in advance.

    I don't have a wii u anymore to test it myself, but if homebrews are not visible on the wii u menu I think you can press L + R + minus to open the plugin menu, there should be an option called "homebrews on wii u menu" or something similar
