the cartridges dont have anything to do with snes and nes emulators, and most if not all of the nes and snes emulators for NDS were made back when everyone had slot2 flashcarts and havent seen many if any updates since

Most slot-1 cards except the DS-X aren't compatible with many emulators due to the lack of TF/microSD card read support, but emulators such as nesDS which have an append mode (append rom to emulator) should work fine.

If you want to do some research for me (thanks in advance) then you should check out chishm's website, and his DLDI.
