I don't think I'm entering the right information for the Title ID.

(it's 4 letters..but it still is not working!)

I typed in a non-existant TitleID "BLAH" and it said the same error

Title ID should be 16 characters long, in Hex, not ASCII. e.g. 00030017484e4145 for the System Menu.

Well now that we have the key, we can sign code of our own, we just need now an exploit, and a way to bypass the fakesign check...!!

....wich, without a vulnerable IOS at this point, can take another year or so...!

This is the decryption key, not the signing key.

The guy who released the tool did so on a forum with the username "daTrollR" and then talked on IRC as "socram888", and then posted in his original thread that he had done so. The identity is no secret. Beyond those usernames though, i don't think anyone knows much.

There's some alluding to whom the discoverer is that daTrollR is quoting from in the elOtrolado thread that this is based on... albeit in Spanish. Should the elOtrolado link be removed perhaps to protect anonymity?

They haven't been able to do that much, or They didn't care about doing that much? What will DSi homebrew offer? More RAM, SD Card access and Camera? TT didn't even care anymore. Look at their hackmii blog. They only had like 2-3 articles on the DSi. DSi isn't even formatted properly, they have it written as "dsi". Now that it's released, people who do care can actually make some progress.

They have been trying, and according to blasty, a "big hack" may be just around the corner (on his twitter he said that)

So I decrypted the system menu with this key and was trying to unpack the 00000003.app with U8 tool to gather the original content, but U8 tool failed to unpack the app file. Which means it's not a U8 archive. Has anyone managed yet to unpack the 00000003.app with whatever tool is required?

DSi Channels/System Menu seem to be just .nds files (or, at least, ndstool/dslazy unpacks them fine, and no$gba loads the header).
DSi Browser has a lot of html/css/images in regular formats XD
Sounds are encoded in the DS formats (here's the DSi settings one converted to flac).

I'm fully aware that these aren't the same circumstances, but I also like the coincidences of the PSP/PS3 signature keys being released as well as the DSi common key. It will certainly be intriguing to watch as both frontiers develop.

EDIT: I extracted the DSi Browser app and it has a lot of .html, .png, .ini and some other common files (including a .ZIP file for the skin!!!)

The decrypted .app is a .nds ROM, just rename it to .nds and unpack with dslazy.
