I was visiting elotrolado.net when I saw a post that says that DSi Common Key is revealed.

From the post in www.elotrolado.net, by daTrollR:

Well, the key with which all data from NUS, DSiWare, t System Menu, applications, etc ... are encrypted, is as follows:
Link Removed - It contains the key
Searching in Google is your solution.
I have chosen to publish it as a program rather than the key itself for legal reasons, similar to the Wii MakeKeyBin. Ienerates a file called dskey.bin that can be used to decrypt with the NUS Downloader DS executablesi. In http://dsibrew.org/ you have an extensive list of titles, but practically only carry CETK system needed to decrypt it. Once it is decripted,it can be opened with the DS Lazy or dsbuff , or any other that can open DS Roms.

By the way, the hacker who has discovered, has decided that he preferred that his nickname was not published. And I personally think it is also the best, so I opted to do the same and not reveal my real nick, so I created this account that is a clone

If you can't get it working, use NUSD 1.2b.

Note: I have nothing to do with it. I only tell you what I saw on another website.

Note from GBAtemp staff:

Tread carefully, here. We do not want the DSi common key posted on GBAtemp.
This is a major legal gray area, and a number of posts will probably be removed from this thread in the interest of keeping GBAtemp legal and open for business. We are likely to err on the side of caution, so if you have any question about the legality of what you're about to post, we suggest you PM a staff member about it beforehand.
Treat this key much like you would a new game:
No direct links.
Hints will be acceptable until they're too blatant.

I'll wait untill this is confirmed by a reputable member not some one with only 80 some post. No offense meant to you op btw. just being careful.

It's real! The hacker who created this and the poster choose to be anonymous for security reasons. The poster created that account just to post the file. Wow, the new year is bringing all kinds of goodies to the scene.

Thanks for posting the news. If this is true it should be on the front page.

Nice, this is turning out to be a great year so far and only 3 weeks into it. I wonder whats going to be hacked and released next?

If this is true, the dsi common key is:

Code:
AF 1B F5 16 A8 07 D2 1A EA 45 98 4F 04 74 28 61

Gonna test this key with that app which tries to find the key randomly and post results later.

I generated my .bin file, but I don't really know what to do with it.

I really don't know anything about DSi hacking.
Me neither, but i've been trying for over an hour with NUSD, but i just renamed dskey.bin to dsikey.bin and it worked with NUSDv1.2 beta.

Awesome, no need for dsi flashcards now with this key

The op has 993 posts on elOtrolado; perhaps Spanish is his first language. His findings are from a post by daTrollR from the same website. Although daTrollR only has 2 posts on elOtrolado, he clearly states (in Spanish) that the actual discoverer has opted to remain anonymous. He goes on to say that "daTrollR" is actually a secondary made up nick (nickname) as he too has chosen to remain anonymous.

I'm really not to sure what to think of it... just wanted to translate a lil.
