Does anyone know for sure that the Playstation 4 20th Anniversary Edition comes with firmware 1.76?

In this video, they opened a 20th Anniversary Edition PS4 and at 6:06 the one guy says:
"Go find out what firmware is on that thing, out of the box. I'm curious."

Then at 6:34 they say that their 20th Anniversary Edition PS4 had 1.76 firmware installed.

I was lucky enough to purchase a 20th Anniversary Edition PS4 when they went on sale.
Mine is still sealed, but I have not found any confirmation what firmware it might have other then this video.

Unfortunately it's not that simple, the 20th anniversary version came out a couple of months after 2.00 (which should be the next release after 1.76) was released, but at the same time we have the PS4 Pro coming with the 3.70 firmware even though 4.00 came out over 2 months ago.

I mean as long as it's below 4.01 you are good.

1.76 still have the benefit of having a public kernel exploit today, nothing is released for 4.01 yet even if we most likely will get something soon.

Also, I couldn't find the exact release date for the 20th anniversary version, but my findings point to somewhere between late 2014/early 2015

The public K-exploit for below 4.01 is coming very soon. Don't worry.

Then we can get the same features on 1.76 then on 4.01.

The 20th Anniversary PS4s were available for sale in the USA on Dec 22, 2014 only from the Sony Store. I would think they were produced/packaged well before that though.

Really? Guess I will keep my PS4 Pro on 3.70 until the dust settles.

You can use my PS4 collection and update too 4.01. Or you can just stay at 3.70 it doesn't matter.

I am not able to access PSN either way, so doesn't really matter and am in no hurry.
But I might get one of those 2.5' FireCuda 2TB SSHD though and seeing as 3.70 was never released, will just need the 800mb 4.01 fresh install file.

Thanks for your help. Also, about your "PS3 downgrade service P.M me for more information! (Slim PS3 systems only.)".

I have a PS3 Slim with 4.81 OFW, can anything be done with it?
And can 4.81 CFW access PSN?

@Zero72463 When you say kexploit do you mean the exploit by Chaitin Tech?

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

If you guys really want a PS4 20th anniversary console they have them on eBay for up to $1400.

Yes that exploit. 4.06 patched it so developers will release it soon.

I got the Google Pixel Pro buds, they're good enough for when I need portable audio. And some really cheap IEMs that Dankpods recommends, I think the KZ ZSN Pro

I'd stick with cheapo Chinese $10 ones quality is actually becoming on pair with name brand since name Brand usually quads the price up anyway loose one bud that's another $200

My Pixel Pro buds shit the bed a month or two ago. My wireless charger (which they do support Qi charging) absolutely COOKED them. Caused some problem that caused the case to heat up to 180F+
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
They were like 9 months out of warranty but I hit up Google support anyway and told them how hot they were getting and they replaced them with new ones because they wanted these for failure analysis lol

    lol wireless charging
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Yeah that's why I can't bring myself to even spend $100 on wireless earbuds

I think it's a cool idea but damn
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
Apparently the case has a problem with >15W wireless chargers. Google design fault, that one.
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
I could live with wireless charging if the damn standard case doesn't block connection
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
    how is wireless charging possible?

    Copper conducting electricity or something
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@Xdqwerty, power through a coil of wire causes an electromagnetic field to be generated. Another coil of wire can be set up to harness the power from that electromagnetic field and turn it into usable energy for charging a device
