@Cyan: can't test for a few days I'm away on business, by time I get back it will be on r300 or something! I'll rejoin this thread in a couple of days. Cheers for making me a test build though

r130:

Megaman Star Force 2 Zerek X Ninja -- Playable sort of because its slow and you cannot move your character "GEO" with wiimote's D-PAD. Anyway, good job!

I obtain the same results as Cyan: Yoshi is playing with a clicking noise.

I have a 4.1 PimpMyWii (all up to date) and i boot the dol r122 from HBC on SD, roms are on SD too.

Do you plan to add zip and rar support ?

Some games are using the Ds turned on the side, it will be important to have the possibility to turn the screens.

And please what do you think of the possibility to enlarge one of the screens (and choosing the one to enlarge too) ?

Anyways congratulations for your good work.

I just came back from work.

Good surprise to see the wiimote pointer can now be used for the stylus

I put the r130 on my site
I don't have the clicking noise anymore.

@Gan : I like your idea of 1/3-2/3 (Gan) layout. But I don't know if it's hard to do.
It also need the "DS turned on the side", I forgot about it
tongue.gif

and a way to close the lid. (hotel dusk needs it I was told)

If it's possible, I would like an option to cycle through all the layout :
vertical, vertical+48 empty lines in middle, horizontal, horizontal + 90° pictures, Gan layout, Gan layout + 90° ?
is it possible to easily detect the press delay on the button 2 ? short press = swap pictures, long press = cycle layout

Will someone upload a you-tube vid of Sonic Rush or Sonic Rush Adventure in game on the latest rev.

r130:

Megaman Battle Network 5 Double Team DS - Ingame and click Protoman as your choice with stylus but when text subtitle is telling the story then tell me to click to continue. I cannot press anything to continue. Keep up the good work.

r130 is an improvement since yesterday...now seems faster and buzzing/ticking is gone. Advance Wars can load maps now, although the emu bogs down to unusably slow speeds once the map appears. Once on the map editor, it crashed to the HBC shortly after I tried to interact with it (pressed A to dismiss a message). Music is still horribly distorted.

Keep up the good work guys.

Will u add features such as wi-fi multiplayer on the WiiDS? And when does the compatibility list for this Emulator Update? Does anymore know when someone will make a PSP emulator for Wii?

brianx, you are jumping too far than we admit. They are focus on increase the speed and 3D graphics and improvement many things. The wi-fi multiplayer is not one of them. Please keep it low for now, alright ? For a PSP emulator for Wii is still in the air. Please focus on DS emulator for Wii right now, ok ?

Lol yea seriously. I also think wifi support isn't even implemented on any of the DS emulators yet anyways, its a feature that may not even come for a very long time.

Umm... What is b-17 ? Some games have a black screen for a while then it will show up. Some remain black screen. Please try to give it at least 2 minutes to see whats happening. If it is still black screens for 2 minutes then its unplayable. Also if it is black screen then kick you back to homebrew channel then its unplayable as well for now.

I HIGHLY doubt a PSP emulator could be given good speed on a Wii. The Wii is only about 2.2 times as powerful (clockwise) as the PSP -- 333 MHZ [PSP] compared to 729 MHZ [Wii]. A PS3, though is about 100 times more powerful.

Great job, Pokemon Diamond almost works. It boots up, gets to the title screen, and freezes after pressing Start or A. Some games also have sprite issues like Sonic Rush.

Keep it up

Processor speed is not the only factor. GPU and RAM would be helpful as well. Of course the wii lacks there as well.

On topic, this is cool as hell. I tested it the other day, very slow and primitive but awesome, much like wii64. not a killer app but still very cool to use. i have a ds phat and lite so i don't really need this too much, but i would love to fool around with it.

yall im torn... ive been hacking away at tales of phantasia GBA (the USA version) and have so many documents of reverse engineering i've done
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I just found out that the EU version is better in literally every way, better sound quality, better lighting, and there's even a patch someone made to make the text look nicer
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
Do I restart now using what i've learned on the EU version since it's a better overall experience? or do I continue with the US version since that is what ive been using, and if someone decides to play my hack, it would most likely be that version?
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
@TwoSpikedHands, I'll preface this with the fact that I know nothing about the game, but, I think it depends on what your goals are. Are you trying to make a definitive version of the game? You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)
  • Sicklyboy @ Sicklyboy:
I'm not familiar with the technicalities of the differences between the two versions, but I'm wondering if at least some of those differences are things that you could port over to the US version in your patch without having to include copyrighted assets from the EU version
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
@Sicklyboy I am wanting to fully change the game and bend it to my will lol. I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I really would like to make a hack that I would enjoy playing, and maybe other people would too. swapping to the EU version would also mean my US friends could not legally play it
  • TwoSpikedHands @ TwoSpikedHands:
I am definitely considering porting over some of the EU features without using the actual ROM itself, tbh that would probably be the best way to go about it... but i'm sad that the voice acting is so.... not good on the US version. May not be a way around that though
