PS1/2 Crysis maybe coming to PS3

Well yeah you read right, Crytek are rumoured to be making a port for the awesome game Crysis for the PS3 console. Arent you glad you glad you bought a PS3.

Even before the PC version released, rumours of a PS3 conversion of the stunning Crysis (developed by Far Cry creators Crytek) were rife, and not far off the mark if insiders at the studio are to be believed. The game looks to be a port of the PC original plus some extra modes and features, a kind of Crysis 1.5. Like the PC game you can expect a visual powerhouse; an open-world shooter that begins on a beautiful tropical island before things take a turn for the worse and aliens from a parallel world stake a claim on Earth. Only the mighty Killzone 2 could possibly hold a candle to this shooter. For technical reasons we hear an Xbox 360 version of Crysis isn’t in development. Bet you’re glad you bought a PS3 now, eh?

According to the gaming website, insiders at Crytek have this week let slip that a port of Crysis is on the way for PlayStation 3 owners, carrying extra game modes as well as extra features over the PC version. Crysis is an absolute beast to try and run even on the most bleeding edge of hardware and current speculation indicates that only Sony’s console would be capable of hosting the game. But as impressive a piece of gaming kit the PS3 may be, I doubt it’ll be able to fully handle the visual powerhouse that is Crysis on the PC unless some aesthetic scale back is done. That said, Crysis on the PS3 is just a rumor for now.

Very nice, I look forward to playing this game hopefully we are able to use keyboard + mouse like all proper FPS' should be played instead of one really expensive comp.
