@FIX94: I use DML Booter for NGC games anyway (thanks for that, by the way) and I use CFG Loader MOD for playing Wii Games and sometimes NGC Games.

Another thing to add is that... whilst scrolling the cursor, the disc titles skew off to the left or right, when it should always be centred. It doesn't happen when whilst using the D-Pad though.

Edit: @JoostinOnline: I would of thought, all the loaders should of supported the new GCReEx format by now. As it's "apparently" faster than the old DiscEx format.

Just upped r31 :)
Changes:

-added support for dml games compressed with GCReEx
-added booting retail discs with DML installed
-added working video mode options to dml, if you set
it to 480p it will use the progressive patch by default

Back to wiiflow :P

Any plans adding Banner Support like USB Loader GX?

Cool! :)

Congrats to the GX team and whoever implemented the banner player!

Sorry, but I don't plan to add that, maybe someone else will want to try...

I hope that someone implement it, maybe R2-D2199, FIX94, or airline38 for cfg-mod ?

Just use usb loader gx.

As official French translator of Configurable USB Loader I would be ashamed to use usb loader gx.
That's why I'll wait for this feature.

Is there any info available on the "new GCReEx format"? I've had a lot of requests lately for gamecube support in WBM, so I've been working on it. As far as I know there's 2 ways to reduce the size of the ISOs. 1. Just extract the files. 2. Rebuild the ISO to remove any unnecessary padding. I noticed that GCReEx aligns the files to 32K, so there's a little more padding than DiscEx. The extracted files also have a few bytes of padding too.

Does anyone have the source code for GCReEx? That would save me asking again.. :)

Tested CFG Loader MOD v70r31 with Simpsons Road Rage & Luigi's Mansion (both PAL region) and I get a green screen after the GCLoader IPL with both games (using new GCReEx format).

Can anyone else confirm that, they are getting green screens whilst loading NGC games as well?

Deactivate NMM support and everything should be working properly!

It's to do with NMM? How odd... :/

Ok, then. It would help if it was actually working though, than just sitting there within the new DML code not doing anything at all.

Pls try this one (r31 beta) to see if it's ok. (but you have to use GCReEx -c to convert to iso , it doesn't support
new format)

hi all
i'm having problem playing RE archives: RE zero
using cfg usb loader with the latest update, and tried playing with cios 249 d2x (don't know the correct wording, but i've updated to d2x)
the game starts fine, it shows the wii-strap screen
after that it shows the "warning, violence and gore"
then it stopped, it freezes at that point

i can't open the home menu by pressing the home button on the wiimote

so does anyone know what to do to play the game?

my own iso is fine, a year ago when my lens is still working i managed to run the game just fine
now i want to play it again, using loader of course, lens is dead, and this problem occur

anyone can help me?
thanks in advance

EDIT

found it myself, it works fine using 224m as base

I can run all of my extracted GC titles (except Super Mario Sunshine, which apparently doesn't like being extracted) with r31. The only issue I've noticed is that both my PAL and NTSC versions of SSBM take some time to load when I select them in the CFG menu. It takes about 5 seconds until I can choose to start the games or change the options. This does not happen with Wiiflow. However, Wiiflow is unable to detect Beyond Good & Evil for some reason.

Also, ever since I started using r31, the disc slot keeps flashing (very irregularly) when I'm playing GC titles. This goes for all loaders that I've tried (CFG, Wiiflow and DML Booter). It doesn't really bother me, I just wanted to point it out. Retail discs run perfectly fine, without any flashing, with both CFG and Wiiflow.

Here's a short summary of what I'm using:

DML v1.3
CFG Loader MOD v70r31
Disc in drive
NMM disabled
Games extracted with GCReEx (Super Mario Sunshine compressed with FIX94's compressor)

I can guess why :P
The game got over 1600 files if extracted, and I calculate the game size by checking all sizes of the files, well with so many files it takes a bit to calculate, I'll may add some small file which contains the size in the game folder or something like that...

The extracted files should also have an fst.bin? Couldn't you just read all the file sizes from that? It won't be exactly the same as checking all the file sizes because GCReEx adds some padding to the files, but it's actually the real size of the used data.

It has sure, but I don't think it refreshes the size in it, will check it out tomorrow, that would short down reading size really much, thanks for the tip :)
