I'll be looking forward to what can be done with modding, because it's one of my favorite games and I'd love to see upgrades beyond the textures. (looking or hoping for frame rates)

Currently the game on PC has just had its framerate fixed via a phenomenal hex edit patch by Isa which has also been uploaded to Nexus mods. I’ll link that mod below for anyone interested in checking it out. But sadly outside of that no fix has come to the Switch version yet but fingers crossed something might come soon.

I'd be curious to see a youtube video of the pc game with the fps fix. Anyone know if there's one somewhere? Couldn't find one.

I'd be tempted to get it on pc if it really seems good.
I do hope it gets to work on the switch version soon too.

Apparently the changes weren't big ones, so maybe can easily be done for the swtich too ?

There is now, in the PC version's modding discord. Most of their mods work on switch thankfully.

I played this game till the third disc on PSX. Unfortunately, the fourth one was damaged.

Was the game not original? A copy? Because back then in where I am from, we didn't have original ps1 games. Only copies. And the entire copies in the whole country were damaged on disc 4 lol. I bought the game like a few times from different shops hoping for a playable disc 4.

Yes but you need to extract the encrypted pc save with a key that people have uncoverd
