Backed up my save from my physical copy of Xenoblade 3D to my microSD card, but it won't carry over to my digital copy. What gives?

Did you initialize the savedata by starting up the digital copy? Cause you gotta do that before you can transfer saves to the game.

Does that include starting a new game, too? Cause I already booted up the digital copy...

Nah, usually just starting it is good. Hmmm, I wish i had it physical so I could test it out. I've rarely had issues importing my saves, so that is the only thing I can think of. I wish I could help more, sorry! ;A;

I'm sure someone will stroll in with the solution for ya though. :D

Does xenoblade happen to save in the extra data files

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Try to delete the files and backup your save again and see what it does.

Ok... I deleted the extracted save from my microSD card, re-extracted from the cartridge, deleted the secure value, and initialized and saved the game on my digital copy... none of which worked.

That means either the game doesn't use it or it's not initialized.
