Gaming Buying a used broken ds

My original DS lite has a case mod and is awesome but its cracking again and its only a matter of time before it does. i kinda wanna buy used/busted/for parts DS and case mod that one too. I might sell the second on after i mod it out.

There a couple on ebay i could grab. Theres on that the seller says the green battery light works for an hour then shuts off. would that be a fuse issue?

Anyways im kinda ranting.
