A member of the DEV-Fr forum, Jimay, has announced that he just began his first NDS project; a clone of BubbleBobble. It is still very early in the development stages and no playable demo has been released.

little has been implemented:
•the character and his movement
•decor
•map of the collision
•the creation of bubbles and their movement
•management of the character of collisions
•the bursting of the bubble by Me

to do: Lots of things ....
•review of personal collision with the scenery
•management of collisions of bubbles
•enemies
•the capture of enemies
•level change
•POINTS SYSTEM
•(mode 2 players)
•recode everything properly ...

No it doesn't have multiplayer. It barely even has singleplayer. When making a clone, at least change the name, you are just asking for a cease and desist if you don't.

Good luck to Jimay on this. Revolution is mostly crap and other than that... it's PocketNES for me. :/
