Yeah the dungeon maps work for me, but not the world map. I wonder if it has to do with one of the SNES's modes being broken.


Doesn't the World Map utilize Mode 7? It's the only mode that can scale a background layer, among other things. Thought ButterStaple had that implemented.

This version doesn't have all video modes, Bomberman is broken again too. I don't know if this is the new hardware renderer or not. Cool to see tho.

Trying this out thanks to Smea's work on 9.2.0. My time with both Zelda LttP and Super Castelevania IV running the sound/no sound builds have been pretty smooth! Great work on this emu so far. Amazing that you can do all of this even though there's clearly a lot you're in the dark about programming for 3DS.

Just a small report.

I tested Ninjhax :) with my GW + emuNAND 9.2.
blargSnes launches perfectly (tough no icon/data on HLauncher).

Tried 2 games :
- Super Mario Kart (EU) : I see the Nintendo logo and nothing more at startup
- Super Mario World : runs perfectly but no sound

Thanks for the homebrew :)

wait what, you tested Ninjhax? o.O why? name me 1 reason, why you would do that with a Gateway 3DS? gateway already supported homebrew for a long time, Ninjhax is for people without a 4.X console + Gateway

Or did you just test it to see, if Ninjhax users would have issues with the .3DSX build?

yeah I got it now... I first thought he used it so he could play the homebrew
didn't consider at first, that he was testing it for other people
pardon me, I'm slow in the morning X.x but I make up for it by being slow the rest of the day, too! oh wait... sh*t >.<

In fact, I like to test "hacks".
I had the Twilight hack days before more recent hacks in Wii, even the first version of Waninkoko's cIOS and even succeed in running WBFS managment on Linux before all improvments.
I tested first version of CFW on PS3 (the one that bricked Slim PS3 lol from Waninkoko).

I like seeing a hack in action :P
I report here just for testing purpose because even better than a GW+HB supports, I have a DSTwo if I want to play SNES games ;)

Looks fantastic BUT we got zero sound on a New3DS LL running 9.2J. Ninjhax loaded. Rom was Earthbound.

Nice to see that interest in blargSNES soared with the ssspwn release :)


Keep in mind that the builds you got are stuck using the hardware renderer, so that is why you observe glitches. The release will allow to switch between renderers.
yours is like THE premium homebrew to have :P im pretty sure everyone who has ninjhax(sorry its ssspwn.....i can'T use ninjhax :ha:) will be looking straight to blargsnes

I've already been playing around with it, and considering the state of the toolchain and other factors you have done a remarkable job already. Just been playing a fairly flawless few minutes of the old Death of Superman game and some others. Good work, I can't wait to see where you go with this!
