I'd have to go with both Shin Megami Tensei games on the DS. I haven't finished either of them but I'm completely content with taking my time with both games because they're well worth my time. Quality games I must add.

As far as longevity goes, either Pokemon Diamond or Jump Ultimate Stars (I put hours and hours and hours into those games)

For hype/how long i waited for the game, probally Final Fantasy Tactics Advance 2 or Luminous Arc 1/2

Mario Kart DS... Pick up and play fun, 'specially with DS-sporting friends!

Animal Crossing... Same thing, really. A year of replayability by your lonesome, and even more with friends. The only thing missing is voice chat...
