Bayonetta 2 was in development, likely for multiple platforms. Then guess what, Sega cancelled it. Everyone was disappointed until Nintendo brought it back from the dead and now people are bitching?
It's as simple as this,
Would you rather the game not release on any system and stay cancelled?
or
Would you rather the game release on the Wii U giving you an opportunity to play it one day?
Gamers being poorer is a ridiculous assumption. There is no proof that backs up that fact.
Getting angry because a new game is on a more expensive system is foolish. PS2 owners didn't bitch and moan when MGS4 was on the PS3, a system that was much more expensive. It's baseless Nintendo-hate, plain and simple.
I never said anything about being angry. I said it was perfectly understandable for people to be disappointed, but that it was ridiculous for people to freak out the way some have.
Also, have you SEEN the economy in the past few years? It goes without saying that not just gamers, but people (at least in America) are POORER in general. That's really not a far-fetched assumption.
"Would you rather X or Y" really doesn't work as a reason people shouldn't be disappointed. Yes, it's better than nothing, but it's not better than what could have been. There's nothing wrong with lamenting a game not coming to your console. And doing so isn't a sign of hate, either. I'm really disappointed that Gears of War and Halo aren't on Nintendo systems. But I'm far from a M$ hater (I have an Xbox 360, and I rather enjoy it, despite I haven't been playing it much lately). It's no different than being upset about Mega Man Legends 3 cancellation, for example (except that, of course, is MORE disappointing since it's not coming out at all).
Comparing a PS3 exclusive game for PS2 owners to a Wii U exclusive game for PS3/360 owners is complete apples and oranges. It stands to reason that, if you're a PS2 gamer, you would probably grab a PS3 eventually (assuming you could afford it). Since you already like Sony and their games, there would probably be a bunch of good exclusives, etc that you'd want the system for, anyway. However, if you're a PS3 gamer who doesn't want to worry about paying for multiple next-gen consoles, it makes sense that you'd be a bit disappointed that one of your favorite multiplats isn't going to continue on your system anymore. A PS3 owner likely would want to grab a PS4. It's not as likely they'd want to grab a Wii U additionally, and even LESS likely they'd want to forget the PS4 in favor of a Wii U.
[From what I read in those comments, the problem wasn't that but mainly the fact that it was indeed a Nintendo exclusive.... Even if people are upset, which I can understand, there's no reason to overreact like that and insult/threaten people, I was pissed as hell when I found out there weren't gonna be more Tales games for the 360 or the fact that Versus apparently will only be a PS3 exclusive when the last ones have been multi-plat. There's way too many times when this happens tbh, but there's no reason at all for people to act like spoiled brats, Nintendo made the game possible by financing it, the gaming industry is above all, business. Bayonetta wouldn't even have a sequel at all if not for this, people should realise that and at least try to understand, and when I read stuff like gamers hating gaming companies, it's just friggin hilarious and stupid, I might not like a system or something, but, that gives me no right to criticize the company that made that system. I mean, the most important thing about gaming is having fun, people bringing hate and stuff like that to the gaming world is just not right, it ruins the purpose of it all...
Again, I'm not talking about the whiners who are making death threads and cursing out platinum games... I'm specifically talking about the people who are disappointed at all, who SoulX apparently thinks are horrible people because they DARE wish that a game they like would come to their system, regardless of how they conduct themselves.
