I currently have a N3DSXL with Gateway and use my SKY3DS to launch the OoT exploit. Gateway is used for latest firmware support through EMUNAND (for DLC, eShop titles) and SKY is awesome for playing my offline games on SYSNAND. If you have the money, get the best of both worlds

Is there news if they are currently working on a way to make Gateway work without cubic ninja/OoT, now that the CN exploit is out?

You never know when you might want to play it again later. And if you gotta sell it later is much better than sooner.

Well to be honest, OoT is one of the greatest games I have ever played, if not the greatest. So owning it, especially now production has stopped, is pretty neat. The fact that it works with Gateway, for me now, is just an added bonus!
