I can confirm that the rumours about eShop not working with an emuNAND created with Omega 2.1 are pure bullshit.

It's working and the content shown in the store is the same as always.

Maybe lambstone meant that the eShop of Australia doesn't have too much content, who knows...

That's good to hear. I don't plan on using the eShop anyway, but I'd hate to have my 3DS' capabilities stunted because I haven't updated since 1.1a.

Well, I had access to everything without an NNID after creating this second emuNAND and I don't think the Mexican eShop is any different from the American version.

Or it was the region. Could be it worked after I changed to US region after initially selecting a different region.

Im in New Zealand and the eShop shows complete, all latest game releases patches etc

another guy in new zealand here. can you use NZ credit card to top up? (I'm using US/Asia machine btw, and stated I'm from United States)

I never did look too much in their bricking code the first time but I happened to find this bit of code which is reachable if you fail to properly decrypt the first arm9 payload from the ROP.

Note: You have to be a huge idiot to somehow accidentally hit this code.

turns out there's 2 sets of arm payloads in the new gateway release. one that looks like bricking code, one that does not. and guess what's still in the real payload? a mips virtual machine.

hopefully it will do. I mean, the term and condition said, I have to use the currency where I was registered. I do expect it will be converted since I cannot buy any games from NZ. stupid region lock :/

I just installed Gateway 2.1, loaded Animal Crossing: New Leaf, saved the game, turned off the 3DS without closing the game, then booted back up, loaded Pokemon Mystery Dungeon with a save from 1.1a that still read, closed it, went back to Animal Crossing, and my save was there. I love you, Gateway. Now, let's hope the guy above me is talking out of his ass and/or is incorrect and I never brick~

Yup the RTS is pretty awesome, aswell as the CARD2 compatibility

Nope. It was the US eshop. Anyway... it was a fault of my own. I owned a 3DS before NNID came out hence was unaware of how NNID affects eshop items. Apparently if you don't create a NNID, your eshop access is limited. At least now it is, at least on the US eshop.

I didn't know this, don't have a NNID and I could access anything on the eShop.

Yeah, everything is visible, the only limitation is that anything free can't be downloaded; anything must cost at least $0.01 to be downladable without an NNID account.

Edit: Patches for games can be downloaded without an NNID.

Does that include patches such as the pokemon 1.2 fix or just free to play games? Because I did download that (that's the main reason I went to the eShop anyway)

Huh, I completely forgot about that. Yeah, it only applies to applications and games... I myself downloaded the same Pokemon X 1.2 patch in my 3DS that doesn't have the NNID... tends to happen.

youtube and pokebank will not work as they use 7.x encryption which cant be accessed using emunand....this one has been answered several times in this very thread....on this very page even
