Hacking Acekard R.P.G *ANNOUNCEMENT*

How would this card messure in regards to this:

* Download play compability
* DLDI patching
* Homebrew support

Presumely all with be on par with the best other cards today?



They have been asked about those @ their forum and they said they will look into it

If I was a manufacturer, I wouldn't dare enter the market without at least keeping up with the R4, since they dominate the market.

I agree. It must have low price, and perfect level of functionality, unlike the first Acekard. But the only thing useful here is the amount of storage, none of features surpass the Cyclo ones...

No one is going to buy this thing if it's like $200. Make a 4GB version for under $60 or $70 and I'd buy it. No use spending that much money on a flashcart when there are cheaper and perfectly viable alternatives (R4).

Acekard is famous, but not popular in China from my point of view.

Wait a minute... It's 8 gigaBIT. That's only one gigabyte. That's a nice capacity, I think. And if you don't think the same, you could use MicroSD-cards (or SDHC) to make it even bigger!

This cart could be perfect... But I think it's going to be very expensive.

what i dont get is that no one mentioned the ability to transfer roms from storage to memcards and vice-versa
even people with noname cards can play the more troublesome games by sending it to the main storage

though, someone who would buy this(it looks like its going to be expensive) prolly woulnd have a no name card

You never know. I think I brought that point up before >_> You can use the (assumed) high speed NAND memory to run intensive games, and leave all the other junk on the slow(er) micro SDHC/SD. They're not all slow though (Toshiba 4GB is as fast as their 1/2GB), but nothing compared to internal memory

not tht expensive as ppl said about cyclo being very exp but it was that high compared to the others. This may not reach upto 90$ in my opinion
