Because cult followings don't bring in the most estimated sales, and thus the company can only expect to make a certain amount of money off of these games due to past experience with the same franchise, and thus there's a good chance they'd make little to no money localizing it, and they may possibly be losing money in the process.suruz said:Capcom were amazingly stupid in not localizing it officially
No. But a certain someone is amazingly stupid in not understanding why Capcom won't localize it.
...No, I'm not stupid. I've read pretty much every article to do with this, so I understand why they aren't localizing it. But I still think it's stupid that they localized every other Ace Attorney game up to this point, and the first Investigations game.. and then they suddenly decided not to localize this one. Ace Attorney has ALWAYS been a very niche series, so it's not like they've always had a huge amount of sales from the series (in the west).. And as for the whole 'the 3DS is being introduced, so it's not worth localizing DS titles' line of reasoning: most people I know don't even have a 3DS yet, but I'm fairly sure that everyone still uses their DS. And the 3DS is backwards compatible, so people would still buy it regardless. Surely it wouldn't sell that much worse than the first 'Investigations' game did?
But thanks for just randomly jumping in and insulting me. I know you think you're amazingly intelligent but I'm sure pretty much everyone here understands as much as you do. It's not hard :/

Yes, I totally understand that. But I still think it's unfortunate, and I'm not happy with it. For all we know, they could just ditch the Ace Attorney series altogether in the future.
And anyway, the whole point of my post was something positive.. I was saying it was GOOD that you guys are doing this, lol. Jeez.
