Ok so, are there any benefits of unlinking NANDs?
If so, what are the benefits? What will happen to MSET if I unlink NAND? Also, how do I know my NAND is linked or unlinked?

This is what I have:
Old 3DS 4.5 Firmware. Using MSET to boot Pasta CFW in sysNAND to play GBA games.
Browser to boot rxTools 10.2 emuNAND to play games/StreetPass/VC games etc.
Newly installed CIAs in emuNAND also shows up in sysNAND for whatever reason?? My latest was NTR CFW 3.0, also shows up in sysNAND.
FBI installed EUR version of Ultimate NES Remix, works fine. When trying to install USA Ultimate NES Remix, I get an error it's already installed, is there anyway to show out of region leaderboards on that game?

So yeah, what's better, unlink NANDs or link the NANDs? Whatever I have now lool.

One more thing before i sell GW and CN : if i go to settings, profile DS something then GW Pops up Because i used GW even without the GW card it shows GW which is normal
Do i have to delete gw somehow ? If so how is that going to work ? To get cfw i think you have to go to settings,profile,...... At some time

from what it sounds like your nands are linked. to tell for sure In your SD card, there should be a Nintendo 3DS folder. Open it, the folder inside that (has a long name of random numbers and letters). if there are two of these you are likely unlinked

there are many reasons to unlink nands most notable at the moment is to use themehax to boot cfw from a cold boot (requires sysnand 9.0/9.2) https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=LcAMVMpXjzo as well as downgrading whitelist to re-allow old once blocked ds flashcards ex: ak2i

the only real benefit of linked nands is the fact that you can install gba and dsiware on sysnand and play them from emunand without needing to install them to emunand also there are sometimes bugs associated with linked nands like apps re-wrapping themselves

it will write its own mset over that one if you want, but after the initial install the best way to load cfw is themehax https://m.youtube.com/watch?feature=youtu.be&v=LcAMVMpXjzo (works on n3ds as well)
also if you have cubic ninja, you can use that for the install instead of browserhax durring initail instalation as some users have problems getting browserhax to work

What kind of problem do you have updating games on emunand, exactly? My CIA files update just fine.
None at the time, I just wanted to know ahead of time if I would need to track down the update files manually or not. My internet is crappy and that means I have to plan things out in advance when it comes to what I have to download.

Hello guys, this is my first post here.

1. Is there any difference in the QQ3DS flashcard and SKY3DS? I've heard the QQ is a clone of the SKY, but does that mean I can use templates and stuff from the Sky website, instead of having to wait for it to be released on the QQ site? The QQ simply sounds like a better deal, because it has a DS flashcard in it as well.

2. I've got my O3DS to the latest firmware (10.2.0-28E) - does that mean I cannot use any CFWs or the Gateway card? If I can't, is there anyway to downgrade my FW to 9.2 (or below)?

3. Have there been any recent reports of bans for going online with flashcards? I don't have a Powersave dongle, nor able to use a Gateway card (for dumping rooms) it seems, so I cannot extract headers from the physical cards I own to inject into my SKY 3DS (if I get one). Will it be safe to use the public header?

4. Is there any other options I have to have/run my own ROMs in a single place that I have overlooked?

EDIT: 5. Is it possible to move save files from physical carts into ROMS on a microSD? Say I have SM3DL on a cart, but want to have it on a SKY3DS so I don't have to carry cart around, is there any way to transfer the data from the cart to the microSD?

Thank you!

1) Yes you can use everything Sky3ds related, QQ3DS is not even a clone, is the exact same card with a different sticker! They bought them in bulk from Sky3ds team, rip the sticker off amd place theirs as if it was a different cart.

2)No CFW, no Gateway, no downgrade above 9 2... People would be talking about them you know...

3)You are not safe with public headers, either get it somehow or don't play online with the Sky3ds, just the games you physically own.

4)Of course there is not, you would know by now.

5)There are homebrew savedata managers, you can use a Cubic Ninja rom in the Sky3ds to install Ninjhax 2.5, then use the homebrew to extract the save from your game and inject it into the Sky3ds.

Has anyone ever used the Save Data Transfer tool before?

Do you know if it is referring to the game software or system software when it asks to confirm the software version is up to date?

Well, I can't boot GBA games in emuNAND.
I doubt NTR works with GBA, you know, screenshots!

I have a US 2DS on firmware 6.0...I followed this guide, http://gbatemp.net/threads/rxtools-...rom-browserhax-homemenuhax-to-rxtools.398420/

I get into the RX Tools install suite and it says "install failed" "failed to load native_firm: 4"

any help is greatly appreciated. thanks
hmm how . . . you must have missed this part of that guide
Requirement :
- A 3DS, 2DS, New3DS between 9.0 and 9.2
if you have a 6.0 2ds (btw the rest of the fw version is important as the last number represents internet browser version ex: 6.0.0.12u) then use this guide [Tutorial] Installing rxTools Custom Firmware - (3DS and 2DS)
and as far as your error it means that the system failed to load firmware.bin or its not comparable/bad

Does it make any sense upgrading my sysnand to 9.2 (considering I'm on 9.0.0-20U)?
Not really.

As far as I know there is no difference in compatibility with the various entry points between 9.0 and 9.2. Even the talk of things like menuhax and coldboot failing less often with 9.2 or just unsubstantiated rumors.

Thank you very much...that tutorial worked...i have a couple more questions, if I upgrade to a larger SD card can I just drag and drop the files from my current SD card to the new SD card...and when using the FTP server built into FBI I was having trouble connecting to it using Winscp, is there a username and password?

Actually I can testify that those rumours are true (at least for me), I had an O3DS running Themehax + rxTools + ctrbootmanager in 9.2 and the boot rate was plain horrible, it was like flipping a coin and expect it to result in heads every time (which half of the times wasn't).

Since I had sysupdater already installed I updated again with the 9.2 package and the boot rate went up to something like 9/10, rarely hangs now.

might be a stupid question, but if I want to update my emunand using a cia pack (to ensure the network apps update as well), what is the preferred method to do that? I read that using sysupdater with any cfw that uses firmlaunch would cause a brick, so I am not sure how to go about it for emunand :(
