I recently purchased the Rockband 3 keyboard bundle for the Wii. Because of the "necessary firmware update" prompt at the start of the game, I decided to rip the game to a thumb drive via Configurable USB Loader and play it through there in lieu of upgrading my hardware's firmware. Although the drums, guitars and vocals run fine, the keyboard refuses to obtain a controller port number after syncing with the included dongle. BTW, I have updated my HBC to the current 1.0.8 version. Should I...
1. Update my hardware to 4.3U as instructed and hope for keyboard compatibility since the game and keyboard were bundled and consequently "likened."
2. Stick with Configurable USB Loader and dabble with umpteenth cIOS configuration/ combinations.
3. Wait for the MadKatz USB MIDI Wii controller module to be released and try all of the aforementioned combinations with the Wii keyboard (which has a MIDI port) and other MIDI capable keyboards within my reach.
or 4. Experiment with apps like Priiloader to bypass the optically loaded prompts that would not exist if yada, yada, yada?
