1 is gamepad as player 1 and 2 as 2 and so on, many games only allow player 1 to control the game so leave it at 1, also do remember the settings are only saved if you start a game without exiting nintendont so

start nintendont, choose sd/usb, press x/1 to access settings, choose what you want then press x/1 to go back to game selection menu, start any game in the list, if you exit nintendont by pressing home, no settings will be saved you need to start a game.
OK I will try this then.thanks!
also i am using gcn injects from the wiiu menu.have you tried those with the newest nintendont?

if you are talking about the injects that start the game automatically, those you cant set any settings since the game skips nintendont menu and starts the game right away, i fo have a nintendont solo wiiuvc inject where i start from nintendont menu and i can chnage the settings and then start games from sd card.

if you have the first injects and cant make settings before game starts its easy, go to vwii and start nintendont normally from home-brew channel, as along as you have a game on sd you can save by starting any game.

Does Nintendont support the analogue triggers of the Wii Classic Controller (not the Pro)? Is it fair to say the the performance of the Classic Controller's analogue triggers will be near identical to those of a GameCube controller plugged into a GC port?

Thanks you.

it does support it but the worse part of CC is the analogue sticks, the gc analog sticks have a range of -128 +128 while the classic controller range is much inferior they dont even reach 100 something akin to -89 to +89 or something, but the worst part is no rumble since classic controllers dont rumble.

but its up to you i usually use wiiu pro controller if i want wireless since the analogue triggers are only really necessary for 2 or 3 games, 99% of the games play just fine with digital triggers, or wiiu gc adapter and original gc controller.

Does this apply to converters? I use a GC controller through a Wii remote converter, so it’s detected as a classic controller. Now I’m wondering if I’m losing range on the sticks.

The only games I play that require Analogue trigger are Super Mario Sunshine and Luigi's Mansion. For those I use the Wii U Pro controller and use the half-press combo.

I'm using a Wii unfortunately. So my only other choice is a Wii Classic Pro, which presumably also doesn't rumble, doesn't have analogue triggers and has narrow-range sticks.

I can use 3rd-party GameCube controllers, but I doubt their analogue sticks are much better than the Wii CC's. Or simply buy four new £60 Nintendo Switch-branded GC controllers. Cheap...

That's the problem with GC and emulators on the Wii. It's becoming impossible to actually get a decent controller to play the games. It's criminal really that controllers are allowed to go out of print.

You guys must be nervous about the day your main Wii U controller/tablet dies.

Nintendont works great with the Wi U Pro controller on Wii. Just sync it like a normal Wii Remote. The player indicator only lights when in Nintendont.

Ae you saying the wireless (bluetooth) Wii U pro controller works on a Wii? I was not aware of that. Do you know if 4 work?

Yes I am. You should be able to as Nintendont does support up to 4 Bluetooth devices. Even though the U Pro controller cannot be used in the System Menu or Wii games, it will work in Nintendont. Just sync the controller like any Wii Remote. When the sync is successful the blue flashing lights will turn off. Launch Nintendont and then press any key and it should light up.

Make sure to use ONLY genuine Nintendo Wii U Pro controllers as 3rd party/fake ones may not work.

im guessing the converter does transform gc analogue values into cc analogue values so you will loose some analogue stick value.

some emus do have wiiupro support like wiisxr and wii64 and any emulator recompiled with latest devkits, not sure if there are any updted 8/16 bit emus that added wiiu pro support too, but any recompiled emulator with latest devkitpro will automaticaly support wiiupro as a classic controller of sorts.

Guys, I need your help. I cannot play a game called fairly oddparents the shadow showdown. After starting the game and seeing all the logos, the game puts a text called "no string". All my nintendont settings are in default and im not forcing progressive or widescreen mode. Im not forcing the region. The Iso is not compressed, neither is corrupt, because in the usb games folder shows that the game file is the same size as the others.
What can I do?

first you dont have default settings, you must put width on auto and screen center on 0 and try again.

second just because the iso is fullsize doesnt mean its correct, you need to check the md5 of the file vs redump.org

I see, Im gonna check it

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

Hmm. The game didnt open in both the two files, despite doing what you told me, that must mean that those Isos arent legitimate. Now the question is where I can find the legitimate Iso for the game? Both sites seemed pretty legit.

you can also try to update to nintendont 493 which is more recent
https://github.com/FIX94/Nintendont/blob/master/loader/loader.dol?raw=true

rename to boot.dol and replace it in the apps folder

also try this
https://www.mediafire.com/file/5y3tfpoil433rij/MD5_SHA-1_Utility.exe/file

just open your isos here and paste the md5 here.it will take some time to read the iso and show the md5 of the file just wait abit.
