There's no reason to use one

I feel like I'm missing something painfully obvious. Please speak to me like a young child who's been dropped on their head. The reason I wanted to use one is to load every game I'd want to play (after going through a rom set I realized the INCREDIBLE ammount of shovel-ware that was on this system and trimmed it a LOT); and that certainly wouldn't fit on the system.

Will they just run off the SD card? Worth noting I'm just now learning that a 3DS even has an SD card slot (because mine has been ordered but not arrive yet, so I've never held one). I thought it just ran 3DS/DS carts.

You can play 3DS and DS games off the SD card if you have CFW installed. You don't need a flashcart.

The 3DS has always had an SD card slot, it's needed to use things like game updates and "extra data" (data that games might always save to the SD card). It's also needed to run custom firmware in the first place.

Running 3DS software from SD is even intended by Nintendo. If you buy games on the eShop they are installed to SD (DSiWare is installed to internal NAND)

Huh. Well. I've learned quite a bit today. Thank you all once again!
Just read the guide and take your time. It is very easy. But if you have any problems, just ask again → Next time better in 3DS NOOB PARADISE

Good luck and have fun!

Is there a way to get the Action Replay Tool/Plugin working? I have tried different Builds, but it is not coming up in Luma Menu In-Game, and I would like to Find/Create Codes.

Jeez, just edit your original comment rather than creating several individual ones in a row.

Have you followed THE guide and finished your setup properly? If yes, can you access the Rosalina Menu or GM9?

If yes, just do what @Hayato213 said:

Ok what i do is that i follow the step to install cwf

If you didn't install CFW then you should follow the guide and install CFW first
https://3ds.hacks.guide/

If you did finish installing Boot9strap, then you can put the Luma3DS boot.firm on the root of your SD card see if it bring up the Luma3DS configuration menu page when you hold down select during boot.

It is CFW not CWF by the way.

If the console does not turn on (blue light on... fading off) it usually means that boot9strap (B9S) has been installed successfully but cannot find the boot.firm file on the SD. Please download this file:
https://github.com/LumaTeam/Luma3DS/releases/download/v10.2.1/Luma3DSv10.2.1.zip
and extract both, boot.firm and boot.3dsx to your SD.

Make sure your SD is formatted FAT32. It will not work with NTFS, exFAT or any other file system. If your SD is 64GB or larger and you are using Windows, use guiformat for this (Windows will not do with the built-in formatting dialog).

Once the console starts again, follow these steps:
https://3ds.hacks.guide/finalizing-setup

Good luck!
