I guess Dunkey's enthusiasm for the game outweighed all the story leaks naysayers on the internet.

Still doesn't seem like my type of game, and I'm beyond tired of the grimdark zombie drama theme, but good on 'em for their success regardless.

Dunkey doesn't even play games anymore. It's others below him that record and edit video for him to voice over. The last time any stream on his channel was done, it was his wife playing Animal Crossing. Look at the Dragon Quest XI S video. The Hero's name changes multiple times throughout, and it uses PS4 footage at times. Either he stole the footage from others, or others recorded it for him. Either way, it's not him.

And notice how when he talks about a gameplay of something, it's always just vague enough that it sounds like he played it, but it's never specifics. Stuff like "I look around the environments, and was like wow, it's breathtaking." Stuff like that.

Not sure any of that really proves much, capturing game footage takes up a fuckton of storage space so it's not uncommon for reviewers and content creators to use footage from various sources to fill time. Not to mention using footage that's already publicly available is an easy way to avoid spoilers.

Game's been good so far - has its eye rolling moments, but the pros outweigh the cons in the first half. We'll see if the second half does anything to change my mind, I hear that it very well might.

I'm glad game has sold well. If you take away all the negative stuff the gameplay and horror is excellant. This is what Resident Evil should be doing not copying Outlast.

despite of the leaks before the release, i still love the game, the game play and the story line was good. but as always people always complain. this game way better than resident evil 3 remake as my opinion.

I mean, I wasn't planning on getting the game anyways as I have yet to even play the first game, but even then...

...I traded my PS4 Slim in to replace my main "clean" Switch with the Mariko Switch for something less than $100 after trading it in along with some other stuff at GameStop this last year. The thing was just becoming a dust magnet, anyways!

Still, based on what's been said of the game already, especially of the ending, it makes you just not want to play it, you know? It's not like you can't venture into what the Internet's biggest meme of this past week has been without learning of the full picture as to why everyone's pissed off, on both sides of the political aisle because that's just how things are nowadays, especially this year.

Was anyone hoping this year would be more like this? Considering 2020 is supposed to be the rad future and not...the scary dystopia of something like Blade Runner or what could end up evolving into City 17 if certain things happen this year that will affect how events play out four years from now?

I must be the only person who knows the spoilers and that's just only made me want to play it even more. I've never understood hostility to a game from people who haven't played it. You have to judge things by how it's delivered. The whole TLOU furore is just ridiculous to me.

Resident Evil and The Last of Us are very different franchises. The Resident Evil 2 remake set a gold standard of what future RE games should be, and despite the complaints I believe the Resident Evil 3 remake followed that direction while remaining true to its roots and more action-oriented, much like the original Resident Evil 3. I too think that Resident Evil 7 is the wrong path, it seems that Resident Evil 8 will follow in its footsteps, but that might be because it was already in development and scrapping it at this stage would just be wasteful. I think Capcom is benchmarking the two approaches to see which one comes on top, and although I don't have a crystal ball, RE2Make is unlikely to be beat. In any case, no, I don't think RE should become more like TLOU, it should be its own thing, with its own inventory system and a focus on environmental puzzles that span the entire map, as opposed to the more linear, level-based nature of TLOU.

from somebody who has actually played i can confirm it is worth every second you play its a AAA game without a doubt the story is gripping, emotional, and unexpected, people dont like it because of the lesbians, boy who wants to be a girl and so on......... probably idiots in the real world to
