I'm using 5.486 via a forwarder on the wii u, and that doesn't happen to me. I just checked it, thinking I remembered incorrectly. after selecting gamepad and tv or whatever with the wiimote, the wiimote disconnects, and you're able to freely use the pro controller by pressing a.

Recently I was using Nintendont on my Wii U. I own both an official GCN controller (connected) and a Wii U Pro controller (connected). I was playing Capcom vs SNK 2, and for some reason only in this games does the Wii U Pro Controller act strange. It was acting as if the analog stick was being held in a certain direction and navigating really quickly through the menu. I know it's the Wii U Pro because when I disconnect it, it stops. It's odd because but then while navigating the Wii U menu, playing n64 games and even other GCN games it works fine. I had to switch to the Classic Controller Pro and it worked fine.

I wonder if something is wrong with the Wii U Pro controller because I bought it off a seller on eBay that had good feedback and the condition was great. That's the only game I encountered a problem with.

The most common reason for this to happen is that the analog stick is being moved while you connect it (making the adjusted center of the analog stick to be off center.). Try to connect the controller while nintendont is open not touching any of the buttons.

If the problem is more complicated we'll see what we can do. Is your controller official Nintendo or does it not have the Wii U logo on top nor have a model number on the back.

I’ll try this today, just to be sure.

UPDATE: @Zense
I tried two different things. First, I booted into Nintendont without pressing any buttons/sticks or powering any controllers until after it successfully and completely booted. Once it did, I power the Wii U Pro Controller and the issue arose when powering the Wii U Pro Controller only. Second, I booted a Wii U game that supports the Wii U Pro Controller (ACIV) and I didn't encounter any problems. Only thing I noticed that when I pressed the (R) stick up or down to use the camera the character turns as well in that direction, but I think that's an in-game feature and nothing wrong with the controller. I also went into the game manual and browsed the manual using the all three (left analog, right analog and Dpad) directional pads successfully, no issues.

I've attached screenshots of my controller to rule whether or not it's fake. I doubt this is the issue, seems like it may be a Nintendont problem?

Yeah, it’s official. It has both the Wii U logo and model number.
