1) The option "Native control" refers to using the native gamecube ports on the wii itself (remember, Nintendont is a wii homebrew), and on the Wii U it should and will be greyed out.

2) When you enter the nintendont settings from the wii mode, I guess you don't have a FAT32 drive inserted right? You only have the Wii U formated HDD if I understand it right.

3) What game is it that you're trying to launch?

If you are on Wii U for the hard drive you need a y cable to activate the hard drive and which is the brand of your adapter?
no i am using a full size drive with it's own power supply

yes this is correct i only have a wii u formatted HDD no wii HDD for the vwii
all my games are injects /forwarders i got from the VC inject thread on that ISO site
i tried a few games so far mario sunshine , the hobbit ,and simpsons road rage nothing works no controllers are ever detected
actually sunshine may have been from download helper
so am i supposed to have that native control option set to on or off? and are there any other setting i can try?

Have you tried putting the controller in from the left respectivly to the right? I can't remeber the direction of it but if you plug the controller into the wrong port it will be controller 4 instead of 1.
Try changing which direction to start from, (as the ports may be 4-3-2-1- or 1-2-3-4).

You can use the Wii U game pad for those games if you don’t mind

i really wan to ge tthis working is there anything else i can try?
i have already tried 2 different GC adapters and neither one of them work

i feel like this is software related and not the adapters since i have tried 2 already and still not working

is there any adapter besides the official GC adapter that is guaranteed to work with wii u nintendon't , what about the mayflash?

Yes I use the Mayflash one but make sure it is the 4-port one because the 2-port doesn’t work. Which is your GC controller brand? It may just be that

they are OG GC controllers
i have 2 silver ones that came with a silver GC i have purple from a launch day GC and i have a wavebird
they should all work right?

so far i have tried 2 different adapters from Amazon, they both work with smash wii u but i have tried everything and they will not work with nintendon't
do you think the mayflash one will make difference? or do you think it is something else causing the problem?

The problem is that hid controllers only work with the nintendont app. You will need to get another hard drive for vwii because the Wii U drive can’t be used with nintendont app. If you want to use the wave bird it needs to be turned on before launching nintendont. But first buy another hard drive (it can actually be just a common usb like a flash drive I use a 32 GB one just for nintendont) and then you will be able to use those controllers FIRST trying the 2 adapters you already have and if they don’t work you will have to grab the Mayflash one

i asked the guy who made the forwarders/injects on the ISO site and he said it work for him with the injects/forwarder version on nintendon't
i do not understand what you are saying here either, do you mean i need to softmod my vwii for it to work? right now if i go into the vwii there is nothing there i can't launch nintendon't from the vwii
i can only get to it by launching the GC games vie the forwarders from the wii u menu

so you are saying need to softmod the vwii , and install nintendon't so that i can launched it from vwii mode and not from the wii u menu for it to work?
because the guy on the ISO site that made the forwarders says it works for him

i also installed a forwarder for nintendon't itself and i launch it from wii u mode
i put a GC ISO on my SD card and i tried to launch it from there but it also does not work
i see it has a USB option to load games from too
so how would i set up my HDD to load from that USB option?
do i just need to plug in a fat 32 formatted drive with a folder called "games" on the root of it with the GC ISO's in there ? or do i need to do something else like WBFS formatt or completely softmod the vwii ?

i read that it is supposed to work with forwarders though as long as you launch the games with the wii mote and say no to use gamepad

yup it was the adapter the mayflash worked
but i wonder how long it will last i read that it is not a good quality and i had trouble with it at 1st
i tried simpsons road rage with the other 2 adapters it always say no controller found with mayflash it didn't give that message but the controllers were not working i had to unplug them and plug them in again i tried every ports twice and it was;t working then it finally worked , seems like the ports are not good quality on the mayflash the chinese ones had better port connectors i think
i see lots of reviews on Amazon where they report that it stopped working shortly after they got it
