If you haven’t gotten around to playing 2008’s Castle Crashers yet, you might be pleased to learn that Castle Crashers Remastered is headed to the Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4, following the PC and Xbox One releases by a few years. This version of the game comes with a few new features over the original, such as having 60fps support, a new mini game, weapon balancing, and inclusion of all previous DLC. There will also be slight platform respective bonuses; the Switch version will have HD Rumble, while the PS4 gets player-dependent DualShock lightbar colors. Castle Crashers Remastered will be crashing onto the Switch and PS4 later this summer.

plot twist, I don't own a switch. I was talking about remasters and ports in general.
as I stated, I was criticizing ports in general.
and as you pointed out the other platforms are also receiving a good amount of ports/remasters, so I don't exactly need to own a switch to complain.
I don't see porting the game harming anyone. People want to play it on Xbox, PS3 or PC already buy it so that is that. People who want to play it on Switch or PS4 can't buy it but now they can, good for them. If you don't buy it then you just aren't their customer, your rant is meaningless and you should just be quiet.

Porting isn’t really about a team making one game available everywhere, to me, it’s more about a team listening to their fans. If the fans and players reallly like a game, then that game will likely be ported to other systems. No one is making anyone buy a port. Some of us are lucky enough to have all the latest consoles and some are torn on which one console to purchase. So when a game (that we like, but wasn’t available at the time) gets ported to that one console we chose to buy a year ago, it’s pretty awesome. Just like any other media, if you don’t like it, don’t buy it.

Awesome!

Would have preferred a 2nd one altogether but this gives me a reason to replay it. This is an amazing local co-op game to have some friends over and have some drinks.
