Just tried it with the nsp forwarder and I must say it's a great job!
The controls are intuitive and cleverly implemented.
For starters "buffer must be set to low", mine was at medium and it would always crash the Switch.
It struggles with high res videos (mostly sound issues)
It was able to play perfectly video with these specs:
Video 1.mp4
Video: h264 @ 1647 kbs, 1280x720
Audio: aac @ 125 kbs, 44100 hz
Video 2.mp4
Video: h264 @ 675 kbs, 1280x720
Audio: aac @ 125 kbs, 44100 hz
It had sound issues (cuts off occasionally) with this one:
Video 3.mp4
Video: h264 @ 21312 kbs, 1920x1080
Audio: aac @ 253 kbs, 44100 hz
Once more kudos to you
@cpasjuste ! The level of polish that goes into your homebrews is amazing.
Suggestions if I may:
- Scrub function
- Skip with dpad (or L&R)
- Play next/previous with ZR&ZL
- Indication of seconds skipped near the buttons (5/10 secs?)
- Video pause upon pressing home button
- Last folder saved
- Ability to delete video files
Bugs:
- Locking/unlocking the Switch causes the sound to stutter (luckily stopping and resuming the video fixes it)
