Just curious of the interest in an NSP creation script, using something like python. It's actually a quite simple format and the "container" can be built easily. There are no public methods to use them, as they will not pass any type of signature check or size check using this method. Size checking needs verification, as carts can easily contain files larger than FAT32 permits (4GB) which any eShop game can be installed on ((AFAIK)), but a cart converted (Full game in one NCA (unsplit)) will not. I assume it checks whether the size of an entry is too large though because of this legacy FS support.

Also to more adept developers, I am kind of curious if this is pointless? I am not very learned in an type of cryptographic system, just know some shit and have read a bunch you have all shared.

You could just make them at that later time
True, but different people are from different fields. It might be useful or save someone time.

I would rather side with homebrew .nsp files instead, but that will take some work and time.
Do you mean like homebrew such as Checkpoint turned into an NSP package?

It'll be a useful and needed tool, and relatively soon, so if you're feeling motivated to do it, go nuts. No rush, though; it sounds like you'll probably complete it a good month before it's actually useful.
