Random odd question on nintendont...

Was trying to play Mario Party 4 with the kids today using a wiimote+classic controller as player one and 2-4 players all GameCube controllers but the wii was only detecting players 1 and 2 and not the other two controllers. Options are all defaults and the first post leads me to believe it should support all official controllers without any issues at all.

Using nintendont built feb 5th (don't recall ver info) on a 4.3U wii, tried other Mario Party games with the same result, is there a bug with 4 player support?
are you putting all gc controllers on port 1 to 3? when using wiiu gc adapter wich is an hid device the classic controller will never be player one it will be the last player slot available so technicaly 4 th.

also the wiiu gc adapter does not support all gc controllers, some 3rd party/fake gc controllers simply dont work even on smash4 did you confirm all 3 gc controllers worked atleast on smash 4?

This is a regular wii. 2 are wired gc controller and one wavebird and wiimote+classic are all official controllers. Plugged into the corresponding ports and they are all verified working on virtual console 4 player games (such as Mario Party 2 for n64). Just don't work in nintendont.

Game : Wind Waker, as well as others
Describe Issue : The games loaded through Nintendont have always functioned great for me, but I get weird "dead pixels" where pixels, seemingly in certain locations or clusters on the screen, stay one color. They also seem to flicker here and there. The most noticeable are the green pixels I get in Wind Waker (here is a photo: http://imgur.com/a/Hlrp4 ). I have also gotten a similar effect but with black pixels in Mario Kart Double Dash. The few other games I've played seem to not have this issue.

I have tried this with the ISO on two different storage devices, one SD card and one USB drive, both with the same effect.

I have an authentic copy of the Wind Waker, and it did not produce this issue.

I used the same ISO with a burnt disc launched from Gamecube Launcher, and it did not produce the same issue.

Region : USA

Wii/Wii U : Wii

Nintendont revision : Latest, as well as what was the latest a few months ago

ISO 1:1/compressed : I'm assuming compressed, since I got it offline and it's not 1.35gb. I would appreciate it if someone could give me a site that has 1:1 ISO's if it exists.

McEmu/Real Mem card and size : Authentic GC memory card

Native on/off : Not sure on this

Composite/Component/HDMI: Problem has persisted on both composite and component cables
like you said you dont have a 1:1 iso, get a 1:1 iso with and md5 matching redump and try again, im preety sure your iso is bad, also latest nintendont is 4.436, never say latest say the actual number. if the game works fine through the actual disc on nintendont then its for sure your isos that are crap.

we cant tell you that but alot of websites online have full isos its a matter of searching for the iso, also you can make your own iso with cleanrip if you have the actual disc, maybe your sd card/usb are so slow that they caant keep up with game requests?

I tried a different ISO to no success. This seems to be a Nintendont specific problem. I have a dvd-r with Wind Waker burned onto it. I launch it through Nintendont, the pixels are there. I launch it through Gamecube Launcher, they're not.

I was hoping to use Nintendont instead because I won't have to burn disks, and the sound of the Wii playing a burnt disk is a bit disconcerting.

However, Nintendont seems to be a big part of the problem because it only happens when I launch from Nintendont, storage device or disk.

If anybody has any ideas, Id really appreciate it. I don't know what would be causing me this weird problem and no one else. If you've got some free time, I'd appreciate somebody maybe trying wind waker from Nintendont, and then looking closely at your screen (making sure the background is dark) one the game has started to see if you have it too. I have no idea what it could be anymore considering the ISO works from a different app.

you realized thousands of people played windwaker on nintendont since it was the first compatible game lol, noone have your issues at all, you said you have the disc right? just put windwaker disc in and then choose boot disc on nintendont menu, also take a picture of your nintendont settings btw.

It does it with the actual original disc, not a burned DVD? Just checking the ISO's MD5 would eliminate the bad disc theory. There's a tool in my Github repository (in sig) called GCVerify that can do it for you automatically. Just drag the disc image onto the window and if it says "Found" after it's done it's good.

If I'm not mistaken Nintendont doesn't throttle the GPU and MIOS does. It could be a GPU problem or dirty cooling, too.

No matter how I move the controllers around the wiimote+classic will either take port 1 or 3 and it still only recognizes 3 players max even with 4 inputs plugged in. Very annoying, I can't seem to get all 4 working. I'm thinking maybe it's the wavebird causing the issue even though that one works perfectly on other games it seems to not like nintendont.

Ok after fiddling with things a lot I've found putting wavebird into port 1 and the wired controllers into port 2 and 3 and moving things around more I got the wiimote to change to player 4 but it doesn't recognize it until a button has been pressed on the classic controller, then enabling me to select 4 players. Very convoluted but finally working.

It does it literally every time the game is launched through Nintendont. Whether its from usb stick, sd card, burnt dvd, or official disc. Every way through Nintendont, this problem happens.

It does not happen if launched from the disc channel or launched from Gamecube Launcher.

It only happens from Nintendont, every single method from Nintendont.

Since 8192 block Gamecube memory cards now exist, could you please add a feature to use 8192 block Gamecube memory cards to Nintendon't, as well as the ability to create new 8192 block raw files?

It's doubtful that would ever work. Even the 1019s can cause memory issues. You're free to plug the card in and use it that way, though.

The Wii doesn't have enough RAM to properly use anything that large with emuMC. Games that are memory intensive have issues when used with 1019 emuMC. That's the reason that there is a warning when trying to create a emuMC of 1019 blocks or larger.
