Stupid question:

OP says Nintendont requires IOS58 unpatched. 4 lines down, OP says Nintendont is not affected by any cIOS currently installed.

So.......[enter stupid question] so if I install cIOS (d2x, obv) using IOS58 as the base, this won't affect Nintendont?

As easy as it is to use USB Loader GX, or the like, to load GameCube games (and with their fancy covers), all it does is launch Nintendont. I don't like repetition. Thanks!

A question for anyone who might be able to help, I installed Nintendont and did everything right with setting it up with USB Loader GX.
I have all my games on an external, but when I try to play the Gamecube games on it it wants me to copy them to the SD card. Is there a way to not do that or?
Cause I really only want all these games on the external.

try a different usb loader to see if the issue occurs. nintendont can read games from both sd and usb, so it's probably an issue with the options. if changing usb loaders doesn't work, check ur nintendont settings. u can do so by holding B when entering nintendon's boot.dol.

Let's pretend this conversation never happened. wink wink

message received. ;) I'm assuming u got it working. the only issue I ever had with nintendont was the memory card I ripped from actual cards coming back as corrupted. I then ripped all gci files from the corrupted memory card, inserted them into a black card in dolphin, and everything worked fine after that. :D

Like the games load up on USB Loader GX, I see all the Gamecube games but when I go to play one this message pops up
"The game is on USB
Do you want to copy the game to SD or delete a game on SD?"

I haven't decided if I am going to install cIOS or not just yet. I can use USB Loader GX for Nintendont if I want fancy covers and slow loads, or just Nintendont (which I will be using). The only Wii game that I really want to play are available from the WiiU eShop so........I doubt I'll do it unless there is a need. Thanks though for nothing because nothing happened here! :P

could be a problem with nintendont settings. I'm not sure if forcing usb or sd mode is an option there, but it's worth a look. open nintendont through the homebrew channel. hold B to get into settings. it will then show u a list of gamecube games. try to launch one of them. if that doesn't work, try going into the options menu of nintendont. u hold B again, then the next button I can't recall. it will has a list of options in the top right of the screen, so u'll know which one to access settings. I think it's button 1, but I'm not totally sure about that.

OK so I've been looking at some videos and it looks like when people select Nintendont in the Homebrew Channel there is a description. Mine says no description available. This has to do with meta.xml, right? I've triple checked and my meta.xml is up to date and is in the correct folder (apps/nintendont). I wonder what the problem is.

Edit: I've fixed it. I made the mistake of copying the text of the .xml to a text editor as opposed to just saving directly from the webpage. I reloaded it and now everything works fine!

Hi guys,

If you would like to have more proper and updated widescreen patches implemented for Nintendo exclusive games in Nintendont, please be active in the feature request thread:
https://github.com/FIX94/Nintendont/issues/272

If you would like to have an option for customized controls, like options for C-stick axis inversion, for Native GC / Bluetooth / HID controllers in Nintendont, please be active in the feature request thread:
https://github.com/FIX94/Nintendont/issues/360

Playing 4:3 games in proper 16:9 is very neat, though.
Option to adjust camera control to a modern standards is also a must have feature.
"games" folder location on NTSC drive, while app and settings on SD card - Mmm... Only in my dreams, I guess.

So this thread says that all Wii U Gamecube Controller Adapters will work with Nintendont, but my Nexilux Adapter refuses to work. When I run HID-Test, it detects all inputs just fine, and it's even registered as VID-057E and PID-0337, which are the same IDs as the official Nintendo adapter afaik. Anybody have any ideas...?

Edit: Aight, so I checked the adapter's hardware details on my PC, and it says the VID/PID is 0079/1845... so why is the HID-Test Homebrew app saying otherwise?

Edit 2: Sooo I just discovered that the controller is working in Nintendont's menus, but once I actually load up a game, it stops working. Any solution to that?

Anyone knows how Resident Evil 4 PAL version aspect ratio is supposed to look ? I'm trying to find the best compromise with Nintendont options but I don't really know what do to. It is so letterboxed that about only half of my TV screen is used. But it might be intented that way in the first place (I know that it's supposed to be letterbox for some stupid reason, but it seems pretty extreme)

are you actualy plugging the controller on port 1 of the adapter? cant imagine how manny people plug them on port 4 or 2 or 3 and them games dont let players 2,3,4 mess with the game unless its on the multiplayer portion of it.

Yep, I have the GC controller plugged into the 1st player port.

I'm probably just gonna send the adapter back and get the official Nintendo one. I spent waaaay too long attempting to find a solution last night lmao.

Get the mayflash one instead, it works really well and has a switch on it to use it on PC via USB HID so emulators other than dolphin can use it. The cord is also decently longer than the official adapter also.
