Homebrew Update 11.1 and Homebrew

i have tried downloading the new 11.1 payload for freakyhax, and steel hax, it just crashes the game so no. Nobody will confirm if it actually works and how. i went as far as redownloading the whole hax, just incase it was updated, for both games, no change.
i had steelhax prior to 11.1, and updated and i tried redownloading, the otherapp bin, folding and renaming it to steelhax,,,bin. it doesnt work, it just crashes the game. Did you do anything specific? crashing as in, closing it and making the system restart.
I was also fooling around with svdt, got my ORAS corrupted, and now i cant even start that game, everywhere i look, is deleting it and starting a new game

until a new exploit comes out for 11.1, there isnt much you can do, unless you have another 3ds that is lower than 11.1. were in the same boat. As to how people are able to still eploit steelhax, and freakhax, im not sure(because they are giving wishy washy answers), but it was mentioned that CFW is used(i never used it, i dont know how it works). I have an o3ds, i might start experimenting tommorow. i mainly updated because of pokemon shuffle, now that i did, i ruined 1 oras game permanently. I did not know how ctrlhp worked, until i saw a videoShucks. Can't use the CIA because I don't have CFW

I was also forced to update because I wanted to access the eshop to download SMT4: Apocalypse. I actually made a comment on the video of the guy you posted on Youtube on installing steelhax on 11.1

Yeah, just be sure you are on EmuNand to not update the SysNand and if you want HBL on EmuNand, just download the cia and install It. BootNTR (Mainly for cheats and streaming) doesn't work so if you don't care, you can update
I'd recommend you to install a9lh anyway.

For Steelhax you have to rename it to steelhax_payload.bin and then hold the B Button while the screen is loading. No one mentions the part where you have to hold down the B Button also. I found out by asking this person that made a tutorial video for steelhax.

i am new to this i got homebrew on my N3ds was using it to edit savegames for MHgenerations and i updated (i realize my error now)
so its safe to assume since i got nothing else on it and was using browser entry point i am screwed till something is fixed till i can access homebrew

Could you elaborate on what exactly you did? I just ran through Plialects guide last night and got the "downgrade firm to 10.4". I did this successfully and I'm a bit lost now. I think the next step for me is to access homebrew but I have no idea what to do
Really quick question. I'm still at 11.0, and already got Steelhax installed before the update, do I only need to download that otherapp payload & rename it to steelhax_payload.bin?
Do I need to also run the Steelhax once before updating, after I put the steelhax_payload.bin to the root of my SD card?

On my New 3DS without cfw, since I updated to 11.1, I've got the problem that certain titles would freeze at a yellow screen when select via homebrew, such as HANS or svdt. I tried oot3dhax and steelhax.
It does not happen on my 2DS with luma, no idea why. I use mmap on both systems to bypass the 9.6 crypto.
Now, here is the thing: I can select almost all of my games, cartridges as well as digital titles, except for:
- Pokemon ORAS
- Pokemon Super Mystery Dungeon
- The legend of Zelda OOT 3D
- Sub wars steeldiver
- Freakyforms Deluxe
- Cubic Ninja
*Puts on tinfoil hat*

I think that's normal behaviour on stock firmware (11.1). I was testing the 11.1.0.34 U payload for OoTHax on a stock machine and it opened up the Homebrew Launcher fine, but then froze completely on a yellow screen when trying to select the exploit installer.
It works normally when full A9LH and Luma has been installed.
