I swear I feel like giving up on my Gateway card! The boot rate on it is ridiculous.

So there's three types of chances where my 3DS will freeze:
1. Menuhax loading up, can possibly get stuck on a yellow screen (Low chance though)
2. When I load Gateway, I gotta HOPE that the dragon logo appears. If not, I have to shut it off and try again.
3. Once the logo does appear, I now have to HOPE that emunand loads up fine.

I literally froze on all three of those scenarios back to back.
I have it setup "/3ds/GW/GW.3dsx";
With Gateway 3.7.1's .3dsx and launcher.dat files on my SD card.

I don't understand why Gateway's boot rate is this ridiculous! It makes me WISH I was an all out CFW user. Because ReiNand and Rxtools boot 100% perfectly every time.

from my experience my gateway boots 8 time on 10 and almost the same for rxtools on my cousins 3ds

Up until yesterday, I got a 100% boot rate no Gateway. I didn't change anything but somehow it's now down to 50%. And precisely 50%! It boots once and stucks the second try and boots again at the third try.

Any ideas why?

EDIT: I've re-downloaded the GW.3dsx file and it seems to have solved the problem. It's weird though, since I haven't changed the file at all.

It it possible to dual boot gateway and rxtools?
just use the latest gateway beta. and put the gw 3dsx from their own site. edit your boot.
title = "Gateway";
path = "/3ds/GW/GW.3dsx";
offset = "0x12000";
not sure if offset is needed but i used it.

offset is not used for 3dsx files

Is it possible to use Gateway Launcher.dat? I use the Filebrowser to launch it but crashes,does it need too have a offset 0x200 also? Yes I'm aware there's a 3dsx
probably not, that is why they made the 3dsx.
maybe though, with the right offset, but i doubt anyone has tried to make it work.
why don't you like the 3dsx?

I was curious if it was possible to boot separate emunands on SD with this or is there something similar to this that could be used?

Hi, I had a low boot rate at the start of using Homemenuhax, CtrBootManager and Gateway.
Currently I have (near) 100% boot rate into Gateway with the following setup:
Put GW.3dsx in the root of the SD card and set the timeout value to 4 (meaning it waits 4 seconds before autobooting gw.3dsx).
(Another user reported 8 seconds worked best for him, just try).

However, I noticed that when I have had the SD card in my PC for maintenance, the first boot back into the O3ds has a boot rate of 50%.
After that it is close to 100% again.
I can't explain this really, I properly disconnect the SD-card from my PC before taking it out.
Maybe the O3DS needs some time to initialize the SD card, don't know exactly.

When I started I tried to rename the gw.3dsx to boot.3dsx but that has a success rate of 10% only

Hope this helps, I guess in the end it is depending on the size, content and speed of the SD card. I have no time to properly investigate this with all these variables.

I need some help with the .cfg file.

I want to autoboot into RXtools,
but if the need arises, press A to skip into Homebrew launcher.

Any idea how that can be done? ><
Look at the boot.cfg link on the first post. It autoboots Reinand and loads rxTools if you hold A. Just swap it around for what you need.
