I swear I feel like giving up on my Gateway card! The boot rate on it is ridiculous.
So there's three types of chances where my 3DS will freeze:
1. Menuhax loading up, can possibly get stuck on a yellow screen (Low chance though)
2. When I load Gateway, I gotta HOPE that the dragon logo appears. If not, I have to shut it off and try again.
3. Once the logo does appear, I now have to HOPE that emunand loads up fine.
I literally froze on all three of those scenarios back to back.
I have it setup "/3ds/GW/GW.3dsx";
With Gateway 3.7.1's .3dsx and launcher.dat files on my SD card.
I don't understand why Gateway's boot rate is this ridiculous! It makes me WISH I was an all out CFW user. Because ReiNand and Rxtools boot 100% perfectly every time.
Hi, I had a low boot rate at the start of using Homemenuhax, CtrBootManager and Gateway.
Currently I have (near) 100% boot rate into Gateway with the following setup:
Put GW.3dsx in the root of the SD card and set the timeout value to 4 (meaning it waits 4 seconds before autobooting gw.3dsx).
(Another user reported 8 seconds worked best for him, just try).
However, I noticed that when I have had the SD card in my PC for maintenance, the first boot back into the O3ds has a boot rate of 50%.
After that it is close to 100% again.
I can't explain this really, I properly disconnect the SD-card from my PC before taking it out.
Maybe the O3DS needs some time to initialize the SD card, don't know exactly.
When I started I tried to rename the gw.3dsx to boot.3dsx but that has a success rate of 10% only
Hope this helps, I guess in the end it is depending on the size, content and speed of the SD card. I have no time to properly investigate this with all these variables.
