Half of the save is FF dummy data. There is some stuff after that though. No idea if it's random or used for anything. Erasing the same has no effect on the card. It's probably just used to fool TWL_FIRM into booting it.

well as far as I know, the blue card was blocked at some point (hence "bluecardfix"). yet the save data on my card (some crappy R4 clone) is all FF, and someone earlier had something different with half of it FF

O3DSXL OFW 10.5 w OoTHax & MenuHax.
Also have PokéTransporter installed.

Got a copy of "From The Abyss" coming in the mail later, and I'd like to use my AceKard's save on it (developer inventory, for one). With this, it should be possible, right?

Also, have you tested the DSi carts; Foto Showdown, etc.? Should still work regardless?

but "Foto Showdown" is a DSi-exclusive game so it might function differently to Pokémon which is not exclusive. I don't know how it would react to being in a classic DS.

can this be used for ds rom hacks? can I dump the save, randomize it and etc. inject it back in and use it as a rom hack?

no, rom hacks are not things you can do with save files alone.

I would be curious if this could be used for potentially injecting data into a ds card to load ds mode exploit though (I'm thinking something like smealum's exploit for bangai-o on the ds). http://smealum.net/?page_id=301 for those that aren't particularly familiar with this...
