Half of the save is FF dummy data. There is some stuff after that though. No idea if it's random or used for anything. Erasing the same has no effect on the card. It's probably just used to fool TWL_FIRM into booting it.

well as far as I know, the blue card was blocked at some point (hence "bluecardfix"). yet the save data on my card (some crappy R4 clone) is all FF, and someone earlier had something different with half of it FF

Got a copy of "From The Abyss" coming in the mail later, and I'd like to use my AceKard's save on it (developer inventory, for one). With this, it should be possible, right?

but "Foto Showdown" is a DSi-exclusive game so it might function differently to Pokémon which is not exclusive. I don't know how it would react to being in a classic DS.

it won't work because it's for an entirely different game

no, rom hacks are not things you can do with save files alone.

if you're still wondering: I dumped the .sav from my "R4 SDHC" cart, and it's just a 512 byte file with all "FF"

A DSTwo+ gives 512KB of "00".
