So I tried a custom race with 200CC. We eventually ended up doing Dragon Driftway. I can say for sure that it's tricky for a lot of people. I managed to get ahead (I did get a bullet bill, in THIRD place for whatever reason), and when I was in second, I fell a couple of times and still didn't lose position. Those initial turns are really tricky to get through! Master those on 200CC and you'll kick ass on that course!

If one drifts earlier than expected no breaks are needed and this is how I intend on mastering 200cc. Breaks and Mario Kart.. nah, not for me.

You don't have too much budge room on DD, trust me. You're going so damn fast and colliding with people that you probably won't get a decent drift in there until you're sandwiched into the wall.

Haven't played all but most allowed to. It's just annoying that to play a track with 200cc is only available via the 200cc Grand Prix or the Online Tournament -- OT sucks. 200cc should have been made available as the next step up for the public MK8 matches.

With Nokonoko + Jet Bike + Azure Roller + Cloud Glider makes it a bit easier. Drifting early can lead to being hit, knocked off by CPU or falling into a bit on 200cc. Some spots are not worth drifting at all.

Anyone find any shortcuts in Baby Park? :)

I really like the subway one and several others a great as well. Some of them seem rather tame but I suspect they will get better when the shortcuts are found.

My son just pointed out tome that the right stick on the pro controller can be used for accelerate and brake. Does anybody use this and would it have better response?

That gets in the way as you sometimes need to look at the rear (X) to be sure no one's nearby or the precise position to attack with a shell.

If you take a wide angle around the first corner, there is a small bump at the side which jumps you over to near the finish line and it cuts off like half the lap. Its very simular to how you do the wario stadium trick in mario kart 64

Last night I challenged myself to get through the original 8 Cups in 200cc, with a 3-Star Rank. It was actually fairly easy! 200cc is fast and all, but it's really not all that different to regular Mario Kart. Though I did find that the Wii U's Rainbow Road is the only track that requires braking to get around the tight turns. Good thing you can now brake while drifting- really made the whole experience a lot less frustrating.

Though there's one thing I also noticed- you have to play more defensively than ever. You take a single hit on the last lap- you're done. You ain't winning. You come to a complete halt as 11 other racers zoom ahead of you at 200cc, and you've got less than 30 seconds to recover. GG.

I'm so bad at Mario Kart that i haven't even gotten 3 stars in ask the 150cc cups :(
150cc just takes a bit of strategy and boosting then you're set to be on 1st place but it could happen that you'd be hit multiple times.. and MK8 is limited to 1 item only not that it'd help too much having 2 in this instance but still better.

200cc is absolutely amazing and horrific at the same time!!! God I can't stop falling off tracks! On a positive note, I loved playing in Baby Park and Excitebike Arena at 200cc (cuz they are easy xD)

Holy crap there's so many shortcuts on the new F-Zero track!

Still getting used to where they are in this stage but the others I've more or less nailed already.

Btw, could someone make a video of Baby Park's shortcut?
