Like the now defunct Sierra said, "Save early, save often".

Okay, I was up until after 1am looking at the commented text from Byuu and fixed what I could from there but it was getting late so I should recheck it. I saw (and was later told anyway) the first 1000 rows have some questionable rows. The English is readable but in terms of content the actual translation varies a bit from the original Japanese. The rest of the document is subject to the shotgun of justice as well.

Edit> For what it is worth, the translation overall has improved considerably as Byuu and I have been ping ponging the translations off each other. There are still a lot of rough spots, however.

Also, I asked via private message but I am interested in getting my hands on the required tools and files needed to put the text into the game. I would like to try and automate the process so it can be rapidly done and redone as needed but even in the worst case I would like to speed up the insertion of text into the game so it can be played and the translation viewable in context.

Can I remind everyone that this is Digimon Story Lost Evolution's thread

try not to span a conversation on other projects here, especially if you start talking about other project patches and alpha's and stuff because it can and will confuse people into asking me for patches and alpha's for this.

I will not give it to anyone since I want it to me and translation team only.

Are you sure you can read? At least read the first post in a topic if you want info about it.

Do you plan to do auditions to hire new people to the translation team, so i can get the download because i tottaly know i can win with my very god Inglish =)
PS: Just kidding k? ♥

Hookoo> There is nothing to download other than raw text data for the translation anyway. Every item from the several thousand lines in total (over 4 files) has an English entry there (that is at least readable in English at least) but Byuu and I are going over the translations while this all goes into the game.

I have been talking with the one behind some of the tools used for putting the text into the game to try and help speed up the process but that's all I have to report right now. In theory if all of what is there was put into the game as-is you would have something playable from beginning to end including all the side quests and extras but there is some question as to how close the English entry is compared to the original meaning in Japanese (some things have to be compromised because literal translations make no sense and others are changed so they sound more natural in English)

Aaron, i was just joking, to tell you the truth i don't care to wait another year or two for this project, because i know there is a lot thing that can get in "the way" during the process, like stuff in life or problems in coding.
I really love Digimon, if isn't for you guys i would never have the chance to play and understand this game, so really take your time and on the release day i will be here (maybe one or two days later, i don't check the forum daily) to congrats you guys i enjoy all the effort you and others put there to make sure we can play a game as good as if the game as translated by pro.
