Hi All!

I'm planning to buy a lot of DLC for Fire Emblem and NSMB2 and need some advices concerning how not to lose any DLC in future.

I heard that if I open System Settings=>Data Management while on emuNAND I'll lost all DLC and will be compelled to re-download them again from eShop. Is that true?
I just thought that Nintendo will release v9 or v10 firmware soon and if I accidentally lose my DLC it'll be impossible to download them without access to eShop.

So how to stay safe? :)

Best way is to back up the whole SD card after downloading updates and/or use the emuNAND tools. I use Ubuntu, so backing up the whole card is easier than playing around with Windows based tools.

Quick question about the Gateway, do you need to use the bluecard to initiate the start up process every time you power off/on the console? I was using it with just the red card in with no problems, pulling it out and putting the microsd card in my computer to add things to it etc etc and never had to do anything else. The other day my battery died so the console obviously completely shut down, when I turned it back on I could not press select to view my games and play them, and going into the nintendo DS profile option in settings did not launch the "launcher". I had to actually set the blue card up again, "install gateway" and then go into settings etc etc.

I'm just wondering if this is normal and you need to do it everytime you turn off the device, or if I should be able to turn it on and off with just the red card in and do everything I want to.
Can anyone answer this for me, I know it is probably a noob question.

Guys, when is it ok to change time, date and region? Before gateway mode or after gateway mode? I tried changing it once but cant remember when and had to reinstall the exploit and stuff.

I have done a bit of java (Basic and Fortran Years back) and would love to have a play around with it

Cant see myself doing anything amazing but i would like to do it as a distraction from work and home

Hi there!
I have just recently purchased an R4infinity Dual-Core 2014, and I'd like to know if it's possible to play Pokémon X on it. I put the ROM into the SD Card but it doesn't seem to get detected and I can't launch it.

Any idea what the problem is?

Hell no. If you wanted to play 3DS roms, you just wasted your money.

That's only for DS roms.

This may or may not be a very dumb question, but the bottom line is no one has ever specified the answer to this. I have a 3DS XL running the newest software and I have in my possession, an R4i Gold Deluxe Edition WHITE CARD. My black (blue) card was lended out to a friend that has misplaced it. I am aware that the white card is described as a flashcart for 3DS games and the black card is described as a flashcart for DS games. I also know that I'm out of luck as far as running 3DS roms on the white card due to my 3DS software. I'm okay with that, but what I do want is to be able to run DS roms still... is this possible with the white card? Ive searched so many different things and have yet to come across an answer to this. I would guess that you can, but without a single description of the white card being able to run BOTH DS and 3DS roms, its only an assumption. Does anyone know the answer to this?

Dunno. I wonder the same thing about the Gateway. There seems to be little info regarding this, in either case, though. I still have my SuperCard DSTwo, though, which I would HIGHLY recommend if you need an NDS flash cartridge.

The SuperCard DSTwo is going to be my choice if I am forced to purchase another flashcart. I could kill this kid for losing my black card...

Can I transfer the games and data from my old 3DS to the new one? Or would that require updating and signing into the eShop first?

Still looking for an answer to this. Was thinking about selling the old 3DS if I no longer need it.

I've just got new 3DS XL 4.3 soft. I'm currently waiting for charger. I'm gonna buy gateway and DSTwo. Can I use them both without any problem? Should I set wifi? Is there something I can set to block updates? Can Nintendo force an update on me? Is there anything more important I should set and know as a beginner? I've read somewhere that gateway supports up to 128 GB micro SD XC cards, is that true and do both carts (blue and red) support them? Gateway supports multiROM, true? But both cards? And a multiROM is a thing that I can have many roms on the micro SD card in the same place (the root of the card or the same folder) and I get a menu which to run, correct? Works for both gateway cards (the one for DS ROMs and the one for 3DS ROMs)? DSTwo supports up to 32 GB micro SD HC? Does DSTwo and its functions work well with 3DS (emulators, etc.)?

If you are using emu then after entering it, as for some reason setting the clock on the 3DS doesn't seem to set it but to define an offset in the currently active firmware/NAND. In laymans terms using an analogue clock analogy:
Setting the clock doesn't turn the hands but sticks a sticky note "Remember to add X minutes to the time shown" to it.

I think setting the region while in sysNAND screws up the exploit data (thus requiring a reinstall), doing so in emu should be fine (never changed it though).

dstwo and gateway work perfect fine along side each other, you can copy JUST the gwinstaller.nds to the dstwo(you dont need any of the other blue card files) and then you will not need the blue card any more as the dstwo will offer the same functions but do them better

i would suggest you wait until you have your gateway to set up wifi as its better to have wifi only set up in emunand rather than system nand to prevent any updates downloading in sysnand

gateway red card supports 128GB cards, the blue card i think is limited to 32GB iirc, but seeing as your using the DS two you would need to check compatibiliy with that....i cant find anything conclusive on the internet, but you can try with this guide here that worked with 64GB card http://forum.supercard.sc/thread-10894-1-1.html

yeah both cards have multirom

I just received my Gateway card today. Dump two of my retail carts so far, Mario 3D Land and NSMB2. I used the backup savegame function in Gateway on both games (both savegame files are 128K). Renamed my ROM dump to .3DZ extension. When I started NSMB2, it said save file corrupted, press A to delete. When I started 3D Land, it did not recognize my savegame at all.

I'm still not 100% sure how this is done, to backup the savegame from my own retail cartridges and play it after I dump it from the Gateway. Appreciate any input on this.

PS I 100% both those games long ago :) I don't mind replaying them, but I have 15 more carts to dump and not all of them are finished. Would like to continue the games from the dump.
