I think recording some random women yelling "Overruled!" and putting it back into the rom is not that big of a problem compared to other things that need to be done.

What do you mean? There is http://court-records.net/, however the translation thread is hosted on the older forum, since both CR and its new forum had major down time issues earlier this year which are fixed now.kthnxshwn said:

I'll help, but please explain (via PM) exactly what you need me to do with these programs, please; I get the middle 2, but I'm a bit confused as to what you'd want people with such little qualification to do with the other 2...

@Warrior552: hehehe good thinking but you are probably wrong. There are 460 text files to be translated/localized/edited and inserted in the game and there is not used text, text leftovers from the demo and the text are grouped so that maybe you get to read only Edgeworth text but not the answers
Then you will need to be concentrated on what you are doing when inserting the text so I don't know how much you will really follow the scenes.
Last but not least, the more people help on inserting the text, the more the files will be splitted and the less everybody will be spoilered.
Anyway, we have things so broken down that almost everybody can do some work on it and here are the details.
The localized text will come as txt in this form:

and need to be inserted with an home made program (
) by copy/paste and maybe some correction of those to the right position.
Graphics:
they all come on PNG format and very low resolution (the biggest image that you will need to edit is 256*256pixel) and the normal size you will need to edit is 100*100 or less.
This is what i call "pixel graphics" because every pixel matters so you will need to be precise and mostly work with a zoom of 800% on paint when positioning things but still using only 16 colors and normally a normal writing font or the bitmap font writer we will provide you.
Audio:
basically you wil get audio samples from different user and you will need to cut /adapt / convert this samples. Then you will need to open the sound file of the game (probably with a standard program from the net) and insert the right sample in the right place.
Video:
there is only 1 scene where we need this and that's the cake scene (just 10 seconds):

I don't have any hacking experience so I'm not sure if I'm up to it, but that text insertion thing looks simple enough. It's just copy and paste, right?

If you want to throw me the files needed for editing along with that copy/paste tool you are using, I'd be happy to do grammar/placement editing for you. Only for files that are already translated though.
