How do you block threads from showing up on the homepage? I want to block this thread so I don't explode with jealousy at you guys every time I see you guys talking about it.

that's impossible. unless nintendo upgraded the 3ds tech, theres just no way.

you should CLEARLY see link split into three when he is at the entrance of a tree toom. since the entrance is pitch black. if not, see if other people can see them. and if its still perfect can you tell me when you bought the 3ds, if its a recent batch maybe they created a better screen?

because ghosting is related to the 3d tech behind the 3ds.

no ghosting for me in full 3d mode. if you see 3 links youre not in the sweetspot...

ughh...you just dont get it. -_-. also you really think i would have trouble finding the sweet spot?

3d tvs have trouble with ghosting too with LCD tvs being the worst.

Also, thanks Amiti. Saw your post and decided to call Nintendo too. I did the registration and survey on my phone so I didn't see the confirmation popup. They checked, say I did do everything in the right time frame, so they said they'll get that forwarded to the CD people and I should be able to get my CD in a few weeks! Wouldn't have thought to call had I not seen that post! XD

and your right. how you hold it does make a huge difference. but it won't get rid of ghosting that is specifically caused by the 3d tech. i noticed that in this game tilting it up a slight bit gives it major ghosting while tilting it down can get rid of it. however, there are many times i run into that it wont get rid of it.

edit: im at the market place now near the hyrule castle and there is little to no ghosting. Im assuming because the whole place is bright whereas the forest level was darker. however i tested the system by going to dark corners around the marketplace and i did run into places where there is ghosting no matter how i hold the 3ds. anyways, maybe i should just play the damn game and just accept it =]

The woman I talked with mentioned maybe it was because I didn't have any address information in my account that the offer didn't appear after I registered OoT. But my feeling is with this adblocker on FireFox which must have blocked the popup altogether.

Ghosting happens when there is a delay with the screen updates in games and you get a lag like mouse trails in Windows. You'd see a lot of ghosting in psp games. I've yet to ever notice this on the 3ds. The blurring effect is due to catching the 3d effect of the screen at a bad distance and angle. Usually adjusting the brightness, and playing in a room not too dark and not bright will fix this.

If this was ghosting, then you'd see this effect in 2d also, but I've played all the way to water temple, and it's been crispy smooth goodness all the way here.

Because it's not blurring...it's ghosting. Sometimes these effects are named because of how they look not for what causes them.

Game looks great and plays awesome too...Disappointed about the soundtrack though, tried to register using a mac at Best Buy and the offer didn't pop up.

JUST to remind you guys; it's an overlaid popup, not a separate window, mine took about 10 second to show up after completing the survey (and I have fast interwebz). The page kept loading, and I just waited while it did its thing.

Yeah...I was guessing it was probably like the pop-ups that you use to pick a profile so you can fill out surveys faster but I was waiting for quite a while. I probably should have just registered some where else instead of with Best Buy's slow internet. (great way to show off macs or any pc for that matter.

this is my third time buying this game (one of gamecube, one of wii VC and now the 3ds) and i stopped playing at the exact same spot!. believe it or not i always stop playing when i get to the village where theres a graveyard and you use your ocarina on that. I don't know why....so i guess i never really played this game for like 6 years xD. i'm semi trapped at this place but im guessing i have to get the grave yard guy to dig up something...

Club Nintendo's site always seems to load slow, no matter how fast your connection. But it seems like the overload has forced the site to screw up.

I just got off the phone with a Nintendo of America rep, and he fixed it really quickly! He didn't specify if it was a common problem today, though it OBVIOUSLY is, but he just asked for my Club Nintendo ID, name and address, looked that I registered, and set it to be sent to me. It appeared in my Club Nintendo order inquiry within 5 minutes of hanging up the phone, and I got an email confirming the order a few minutes after that (though my boyfriend was on the phone, so it could've just been delayed until he hung up).

A little note I haven't seen anywhere else, the soundtrack is backordered, though that may just be that they are holding it off until a certain date. The guy I spoke to told me the soundtrack will not ship until July 5, and (as always) will take up to two weeks to arrive. So I don't expect anyone will see it for a while! The phone lines seem to have calmed, so if you had the problem earlier, try calling now!

can anyone help me with the fishing part ? I play the adult link and want to catch the biggest fish. I know who the biggest fish is, but if I throw out my bait, the stupid fish only looks at it and swims away after awhile or when I try to make him catch it with B, the bait comes nearer and nearer to me and the stupid fish wont take the bait. I got him one time, but he defended so hard that my fishing line ripped -.- he is to hard to catch. My hand hurts so much -.- 2 hours of trying to catch that fucking fish -.- any tips ?

Dunno xD Some huge ass fish xD I know that the biggest fish is always the one at the log xD There is one place with three stones, where you can go fishing. From there, you can throw your bait to the log that is looking out of the water xD hard to describe, but I got one that was bigger than link and I got the gold scale

I was nearly loosing my nerves. that damn fish always just looked at the bait. the time when I got him, took me ~5 minutes to catch him xD he was jumping around and stuff...
