At least Nintendo is doing something about the offer being kinda broken. I never understand why they don't do this stuff on better servers.

Yeah, I know I waited a good minute for anything to show up about the CD after registering but nothing happened. I'm glad I called to confirm with Nintendo. However if I had know before hand that you needed an address input already maybe that would have saved me something on my end fff

off-topic of cd:

i found a slight graphic glitch that doesn't affect the game in any way.

when you use the ocarina to do the rupee trick on the draw-bridge in front of town, then jump down from it into the town, it will show you falling through the ground. hehe ^^

up until now the best thing i've played on the 3ds was PES. I had such big hopes for zelda. probably too big. i was too excited to pick this thing up for my age, its sort of embarrassing. i tried to temper my expectations so i wouldn't be disappointed. i didn't click through the set up screens, i watched every frame. then i started playing. wow. a true wow moment. i'm sure some of the younger players who have grown up with all this technology don't get it but for me this is the hoover car i've been waiting for. this game is great in every way, a true 10.

I want this game so badly but I cannot justify spending 300 dollars right now just to play OoT portably as amazing as it is. Right now I'm sadly sticking to playing it on my laptop with high res texture mods, but once more games come out for the 3ds this is the first thing I'm getting. I'm so jealous of everyone who is able to play it right now.

There is Starfox in september and Super Mario 3D this year as well. Mario Kart 3D and Paper Mario could also come this year but they said Mario Kart 3D was probably gonna slip in 2012 and Paper Mario still has no release date at all, hell, not even a range of date, it's just TBA.

Hey, Temp. I haven't read the whole thread, but in the last few pages no one seems to have had the same thing to say as me, so I figured I'd chime in.

I got a crash in my game. Not just a "Your system has encountered an error" type crash, I'm talking blue screens and speaker beep. There was a bit of text on the top screen, which I didn't get a good chance to read aside from that one word was "BOOTROM". So far I haven't managed to replicate it, but it definitely happened as a result of closing my DS. I have no explanation for it at this point, but I'm wondering if it's not replicable and useful to the scene.

If anyone else has experienced this error while playing the game, I'd imagine that would be helpful.

Will Link always start out at his house..?

I think that's only young Link but I'm not 100% sure. If you save within a dungeon and shut down, you'll start at the beginning of that dungeon though

if you save in a dungeon you start at the entrance, if you save anywhere else you will start in your house (child link) or in the temple of time (adult link)

It kind of stinks about how they did that, but it makes those treks back to Kokiri a bit easier.

Wait, did they do that in the N64 version?

Nope. 30 FPS both 2D mode and 3D mode. There's some slowdown when a ton of things are breaking at the same time though.
