Like the later-generation iPod touch, the device will feature front- and rear-facing cameras and come in 8, 16, and 32 GB options.

I'd get one. I'm getting severely disappointed with Apple. They overprice their products waaay too much. And their customer support isn't even that good. Not to mention, iTunes is starting to piss me off because there's so many problems with it. Ever since 8, iTunes lags and slows down way too much, while 7 was just perfect. But because of that, I can't ever connect to the store, and Apple isn't helping me.

People are so bloody stupid to still be saying Apple is amazing, and support them as much as they do.

I'm pretty sure most people who listen to music already moved onto phones as music devices.

EDIT: It's quite a shame this thing wasn't introduced earlier. I would've bought it, but too bad, since I already own an iPod Touch.

They will be in tough against Apple. It's hard to compete against an established brand and name this day in age. The iPod has numerous things going for it, including app support and a massive music library through the iTunes store, things that Apple has going for it. My first ever mp3 player was a Samsung, back in 2001. It had 128MB of built in flash memory and ran on a single AA battery, simple device but it worked and the sound quality was good. Samsung makes great technology so I am sure this will be a worthwhile investment for anyone who buys it, just they need to have support in order to sell it based on the features it has.

Will be an epic fail. The only way that they can get a small foothold in the dominance that Apple has on the MP3 player market would be if they make it better than the iPod Touch and make it substantially cheaper. I mean like half the cost. There is no way this will happen, it'll be priced comparably, will have a garbage interface instead of stock Android, and be marketed poorly. Mark my words.

It looks EXACTLY like my phone.

Which is actually a selling point to me. I'll be somewhat familiar with the product.

I'd buy it just so I can neglect Apple. If I can have an Android tablet, an Android phone, and an Android MP3 player, I'd be satisfied.

I'll have to change phones before I get one though. Don't need to be grabbing my MP3 player thinking it's my phone...

You might as well use the music player from any android phone... Same thing.
This will likely have an improved soundchip compared to an Android phone of similar price. The Music Player in this will also likely be better designed as its not an add-on but a main feature and not compatible with any other Android device (without hacking etc.) The default music player on my mum's phone, for instance, is just built into the file browser and therefore a bit awkward to use. I downloaded Winamp and its a LOT more intuitive.
