i hope tantric will include the magicpackage in a future release of the official wiimc-channel.

It would be much more useful if it were incorporated into the program itself.
Then, should your server enter sleep mode between one movie ending and you choosing to play another, you would not have to quit WiiMC and restart it in order to have the forwarder wake your server

That way, it would also wake the server for those that prefer to start WiiMC via HBC and not use a forwarder

Now that there is (currently) a working python plugin for Hulu on XBMC - I have it running really nicely on the old Xbox currently.
Are there any plans to get it working with WiiMC as the plugin format is the same?
it would require applying the RTMP patch so that the swf stream decrypts properly or something....
Would be sweet to finally get Hulu on the Wii

this was working fine on my Wii when I last used it.

However, I went to watch something this morning and was told an update was available. I downloaded it but now when I click Start on the WiiMC (forwarder ?) channel, I get the background image but immediately go to a stack dump everytime

If I run to run it from the HBC the loading progress bar comes up but 'hangs' at 0%.

Anyone got any ideas ? Or where I can get my old version from ?

EDIT: nvm ... solved it with a completely fresh install.

is there any possibibilty to get a dlna streaming compatibility? it would be cool to stream my videos, recorded with my samsung-wave directly to my not dlna compatible tv.

is it just me thats having a problem with the tics for files previously watched. Its a brilliant addition coz often i download a whole series of something and keep watching, not noticing what episode ive got to.

however it often doesnt tick the file until ive opened it twice.

ie im watching Lie to Me at the minute. Last episode i watched last night was 6.

i open WiiMC and it shows tick boxes up to episode 5. i open 6, realise its the one ive seen and home back to the file list. its now ticked. watch episode 7 to the end. automatically goes back to file list, and 7 is not ticked. open it press back to home, its ticked.

If you watch a show right to the end, there won't be a tick.

Yea this annoyed the hell out of me too! if you go back into the file and using the pointer rewind it to the begining, and press the home button and move on, it will reset it. I'm still crossing my fingers that they will use two separate icons for the watched and paused movie status. Right now they will both be the same check mark from my understanding.

Fantastic application, best homebrew application I have ever used on my Wii! Just amazing, so worth the wait!
I use it everyday to watch movies on my TV if there's nothing else, very well done!

I got really excited to learn this new WiiMC was like WiiFlow USB Lopader GX and CfgLoader providing GUI selection of Wii Games Titles to load.

I was after something similar for MP3 and Video files - looks like WiiMC fits what I am after, so eager to try it out and see if it meets my expectations.

Trouble is I have experienced problems getting this WiiMC to install!

Here is what I tried and experienced:-

1) Followed http://wiibrew.org/wiki/WiiMC for installation instructions

2) Downloaded the following WiiMC installer packages:-
IOS 202 Installer
WiiMC Channel Installer 1.1
WiiMC 1.0.4 (New Install)

3) Installed IOS57 v5661 using 'YAWMM'

4) Installed 'wiimc' Folder from the unpacked WiiMC 1.0.4 (New Install) folder, into 'apps' Folder of SD card

5) Installed 'wiimc-channel-installer' Folder from the unpacked 'WiiMC Channel Installer 1.1' folder, into 'apps' Folder of SD card

Put the SD card in my Wii and Booted to the Homebrew Channel, and noticed the WiiMC Channel Installer, the WiiMC Installer and the WiiMC IOS202 Installer are there in the Homebrew Channel.

a) Try launching WiiMC IOS202 Installer
Launches/loads but then nothing happens, just then Screen goes black - have to power down and reboot!

b) Try launching WiiMC Installer
Launches/loads but then nothing happens, just then Screen goes black - have to power down and reboot!

c) Try launching WiiMC Channel Installer
Launches/loads and menu comes on screen advising it was successful.
This does produce the WiiMC Channel and this does launch when selected and started (but WiiMC not installed, so cant run)

Spent some time reading through the Threads, and it seems others have had problems, but not discovered any replies, really identifying a specific problem/solution?

The following is what I did pick up on and try to see if I could get the WiiMC IOS202 Installer to run, and the WiiMC Installer to also:-

i) Tried deleting IOS202 that was already on my Wii - no change as WiiMC IOS202 Installer still gives Black Screen freeze!

ii) Tried removing USB HDD and USB Keyboard from Wii Console - no change still Black screen on launching Installers!

Any suggestions and actions to try, as to why the WiiMC Channel loads and installs, but WiiMC IOS202 Installer fsils and WiiMC 1.0.4 (New Install) also give that Black screen 'lock-up'?

I might try a WiiMC 1.0.1 (New Install) and then if that works,
can try the WiiMC 1.0.4 (Update)

Not had any real problems at all with all the other Wii applications I have installed, so was a bit of a shock to find WiiMC install failed!

Would be great if such WiiMC install and IOS202 requirement was incorporated into NUS Auto Downloader, along with the Channel

Any help/suggestions welcome as I am keen to see if this can turn my Wii Console into 'GUI JUKEBOX' for Music, and Video Movies, with display of Images/Box Cover Art, rather than just the usual Album/Artist/Track/Title name selection.

I have all this on my PC, but would be cool to run off my Wii Console with 500GB (or higher) USB HDD (NTSC partition?), as well as the Wii GAMES library on the same USB HDD (WBFS partition)

Well WiiMC.org has one, and I think it's quite Nifty, it's similar to the HBO intro, it's cute. I use it.

In other news, WiiMC has been working GREAT for me lately. DVD's work, My USB videos work, I use it every night when I go to bed as I love watching shows when I fall asleep. Even the SMB feature works!!!
