Homebrew WiiMC RELEASED!!! (Wii Media Center)

smb keeps giving me problems. it plays fine for about 5 minutes (usually happens around that point every time on every video). then it sounds like a record being scratched or super fast forward sound but the video image stays still and it eventually it says buffering a few times but never recovers.

i usually just end up putting it on sd, its not that much of a pain but i wish the smb would work better for me. i watched the same file that caused the error on smb on sd and it worked fine right to the end.

i also wasn't downloading or uploading when this happened, i had full network speed (usually around 1.7MB/s). anyone else have this problem and fix it? if so let me know.

edit : forgot im using most up to date WiiMC, updated through self updater.

Well WiiMC.org has one, and I think it's quite Nifty, it's similar to the HBO intro, it's cute. I use it.

In other news, WiiMC has been working GREAT for me lately. DVD's work, My USB videos work, I use it every night when I go to bed as I love watching shows when I fall asleep. Even the SMB feature works!!!

Anyway, pathetic noob question and im asking because my pc is super lagging so much everytime i click on the arrow thingy icon to get to the next page thingy(5min o lag each click so lets multiply that by 34 which gives us 160min in total before i can get to page 35 here...yay)

Anyway, again, my question is this and it will be a question in vain but i dont care, is there a full view option when watching tv shows on WiiMC?? i mean, i have mcplayer on the Homewbrew channel and has the option of viewing in Full...so yeah..easy question? =)
i'll send the one who anwers this some milk n cookies through mail!!

Got the new update for WiiMC Including the new channel AND the new IOS202.

It no longer recognizes my USB HDD

, so it's back to 1.0.4. . .

Yup, just had to revert back to 1.0.4 and all is fine and dandy once again, keep an eye on the wiimc forums........

Check the wiibrew page for WIIMC. It says to update to the newer IOS202 if you want USB to work, this is because you can use both USB ports.

And I like this new update, shows what song I'm playing during the screensaver now.

But then you update to the new IOS202, some apps won´t recognize your HD (WiiXplorer ETC.)

So back to Wiimc 1.0.4 and hermes v5.1 IOS202 and same thing with snes9xgx and fceugx. back to the old.

EDIT: Just tried to reinstall the new IOS202 and now it works, but the channels in WiiXplorer dont show up

.(it needs to be merge with 38)
EDIT 2: But anyways back to hermes cios 202 v5.1 and mplayer ce or wiimc 1.0.4 (dont want the new cios 202 installer

Hmmm, the new IOS 202 sounds really nice. I always find it a pain to have to use the left slot, since my HDD has two cords. Just wondering for anyone who has updated to the new IOS 202, does WiiFlow work correctly? This and WiiMC are the only two apps I use with my HDD, and if WiiFlow works that would be just great.

i dont think it was the same as hermes, but i am not sure. Always used hermes!

Wiiflow is running perfectly here, with the new cios 202 installed. i dont think wiiflow has anything to do with cIOS 202 (not sure)

Anyways I have yet to test USB as I do everything via SMB. One thing I noticed tho is when playing files via SMB sometimes they gltcih out, audio is still fine but video is a garbeled mess and WIIMC is almost unresponsive unless I mash home to pause the movie or tv episode, then reload the movie. This happens to full movies and tv episodes in 20 minutes of length. More noticable in full movies, sometimes in episodes. Any reason why that happens? Considering ftpii has a file transfer speed of around 300kb/s, more sometimes.

I'm worried about new IOS202 compatibility with other apps, as this new 202 was carried to SNES9X, FCEU, VBAGX.

So it still pretty necesary.
