WTH? Homebrew channel doesn't boot up in sneek. It just pops up a bootmii scam sign. the one were it says if u payed for this u've been scammed blah blah blah? And it just freezes..?
Did you even read the startup guide? You make it using 0000000e.app(from IOS60 v6174) and the ES/FS modulesPippin666 said:Where do I get the correct boot2.bin for a 4.1U wii and where do I put esmodule.elf & fsmodule.elf ??

It's something in the .tik and .tmd let's HBC check whether it was installed to this Wii or not.DeadlyFoez said:Wait LONGER. It will come up. I thought the same thing too. Apparently HBC when properly installed creates some kind of indicator file that is aware if HBC was installed by a WAD file or something, and apparently it thinks the same with yours. Reinstall HBC and it will fix it.
DeadlyFoez said:Instead of having 2 HBC's, one with the old title ID and one with the new title ID, just install the haxx to jodi forwarder so if anything tries to launch the old title ID, then at least it will be launching the newest HBC instead of the older one.Justin121994 said:Oh no wonder. I reinstalled it works fine.
I actually have two homebrew channel as a backup if theres a new wii update and someone in my family updates or wtv.. lol
My theory was/is that it checks the "last modified" date/time the TMD and/or TIK. Never dugg into it...wilsoff said:It's something in the .tik and .tmd let's HBC check whether it was installed to this Wii or not.
I used showmiiwads to create a HBC.wad from a NAND dump. Then used showmiiwads to install it to SD-NAND and it showed the scam screen and bird. I then compared the original tik/tmd with the tik/tmd from the wad install and they are different. One example is in the tik where the real one says "TheMostAwesomest" whereas the wad version says "GottaGetSomeBeer"

Hmm, that's good to know I guess. The weird thing is that it would "brick" my virtual NAND whenever I tried installing a wad of rev7 through ShowMiiWads. But it seemed to have installed correctly after running rev7's installer app from SNEEK. Time to bust out the old backup launcher gamma. lolDmon84 said:I don't know if anybody mentioned before, but cIOS rev7 and cMIOS from WiiGator working fine with Sneek. Rev7 doesn't have hdd or double layer support but it plays all my dvd5 backups. So it is not the worst option for now.
That does support the mload theory.Dmon84 said:I don't know if anybody mentioned before, but cIOS rev7 and cMIOS from WiiGator working fine with Sneek. Rev7 doesn't have hdd or double layer support but it plays all my dvd5 backups. So it is not the worst option for now.

Didn't had it. To go sure I used the first beta phase 2 binaries and yeah; don't get the scam warning.sirakain said:HBC reads a file on your nand, device.cert to check if HBC was installed correctly. In betas it did not loaded this file from real nand, causing scam + bird.
